Never done a midnight release or showing or camp-out or any of that stuff. It has never appealed to me.

I'm kinda nervous about the midnight release, the store I pre ordered at has a very small parking lot. I'm afraid I might have to go way early just to avoid walking a quarter of a mile with no sort of lights with the CE in my hands.

That's what happened to me with the Black Ops 2 release, I got my receipt and it was empty (around 9) and came back around 11 and I had to park at the Walmart and walk over. (Not too bad of a walk but still crazy). The parking lot was completely packed, and they even looped through the starbucks drive through, and along the outside edge of the parking lot, bumper to bumper.

I'm doing it, I gave my monday and tuesday shifts away (I'm going to miss those 16 hours on my check!). I plan on sleeping all day Monday so I can get the game, play it until I have to head up to school to take a pair of exams then come home and continue playing until I head to bed.

People still think this is coming out on PS4 and X1? Not going to happen.

Why wouldn't it ? Maybe not right away but I can see in a year. Or even Xmas. Rockstar is great at keeping secrets

Not doing a midnight release. All I'd do is get it home, play it for an hour and go to sleep for work the next day. Not worth it to me.

Midnight releases aren't my thing. I can easily wait until after work Tuesday night to pick up my preorder.

Only worry is my Best Buy selling my preorder before I get there. They've done it once in the past and have had to grab a copy off the shelf because they failed to put one aside more than once.

Y'all will hear about me on the national news at 6:00 if they manage to screw this up and leave me without a copy. Believe that.

With the sheer insanity that the server sizes for the 360 and PS3 versions are having to go through just to get this up and running, there is no way in hell that Rockstar is going to want to go through that twice all over again. They are expecting to move 25 million (yes, twenty-five) units of this game between 360 and PS3, there will be absolutely no demand for it high enough to validate the extra budget it would cost to release them on the next gen consoles.

A lot of laypersons think that you can just port the game over and that's that, but there is just so much more that goes into it that the Average Joe just can't even begin to comprehend. Rockstar has already spent close to 275 million dollars on this game already and will continue to support it on the current generation of consoles for years to come (per the interview in Game Informer) as well.

Point blank, this game isn't coming out on PS4 or X1 any time in the distant future and even if it does, say 2-3 years from now, there won't be the same online universe that goes along with it.

I think a lot of people would feel jipped.

If they ever do decide to port it over to the next-gen consoles, I doubt they are going to take that into consideration.

I think it'll get an HD upgrade of some type and eventually be released on the next-gen consoles myself. When however, is another question.

To piggyback 55's post(which covers the economic side of things). Another reason I don't see this coming out for next generation consoles would be Rockstar's ego. You just know being the last major and possibly biggest release for current gen gets them off. Just the vibe I get from the company. But something I believe to be true.
