Re: Grand Theft Auto V
just got my copy few hours ago. great game in general. graphic wise i gotta say that i can really feel the low frame rate and low solution (flickering all of the screen) that game has, especially while driving. i even find it hard sometimes to find my way through the streets due to this, at least when im driving with a really high speed. i have a pretty decent samsung 32" TV btw.
wondering if this really is playing in 720p??Spending time with Jesus!

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Well, I'm weak.
I was one of the weirdos who was going to hold out for the eventual PC release, but I caved and picked up a PS3 copy from Walmart this morning on my way to take my son to school. Got a couple dirty looks as I'm pretty sure they thought I was buying it for him...lol.
Like Pappy, I just walked in and got it, blimp code and all, with no preorder. Installing now!Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Remember don't install the "play disc", only the install the "install" disc. Per Rockstar.
Reading their support twitter it's pretty amazing how many people are confused by these instructions. Then even more amazing how many people didn't know an install was going to be required and are in meltdown mode.
I can't wait for the PC version. The 360 and ps3 hardware is definitely pushed as far as it can go, so I guess good timing for the next gen systems.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 09-17-2013, 08:16 AM.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I ended up getting to my GameStop at around 10:30pm last night. Got assigned gorup #10 (95th person). Walked over to the bar, had a beer...walked back over at midnight, was out of there by 12:10am. There were still at least 100-150 people waiting outside, with half of them complaining about not getting a group number.
After the first few missions, I decided to drive around the map. I'm still amazed at the draw distance and the vastness of the map. I took the tram up to Mt. Chiliad, then motor biked down. Ran over a few mountian lions. hahaha...then drove back to Los Santos. Overall, just doing that took me an hour.
Awesome.
Tried to go golfing, but couldn't figure out how to start a round. Oh well.
Ended up going to bed around 3:30am...up at 6:45 to get the kids ready for school. Gonna be a tough one today...but totally worth it.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Well crap, meeting cancelled so it's a regular work day for me. Good news is that my game is now ready for delivery for today and UPS delivers around the time that I get off. It's going to be a long wait...Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Okay, early frustrations aside on having to replay the first mission twice (that's three times total), this game's "little things" really do make "sights and sounds" a thing of beauty, and I want to capture them all now before they lose their luster later.
I'd love to write down everything that I have seen and heard, from the beautiful landmarks to the hilariousness randomness on the streets, but I want to save it for others when they play it for the first time. I recommend after you play the first mission or two, turn off all visual displays and just walk or bike (BMX) around Los Santos, and get lost in it. Amazing. I'm easily laughing twice a minute too, and I'm just walking.Comment
