None that are visible. You can catch fish by making a fishing pole, but you never actually see them swimming or anything.

Haven't played this for months on PC but for some reason have an itch to come back and play more. Oh dear...

Have I missed much in terms of additions? Any must have graphic mods for anyone still playing on PC?

        Re: Minecraft

They're about to drop an update that changes up some things with redstone and adds some new redstone components.

Depending on when you last played, there are more pre-generated structures - NPC villages, underground abandoned mines, etc. There's a point to the game now with the addition of The End. World generation has been adjusted.

Probably a lot more that I'm forgetting, but I hadn't played since beta and started playing again last month and I was overwhelmed by the amount of stuff that changed, lol.

Yeah I think I last regularly played when it was still beta and they were talking about NPC villages. Are the NPCs functional now because I remember Notch saying there were going to be mindless to start.

You can trade with them, and if you're around their village at night zombies can swarm their village and the villagers will rely on you to defend them. Villagers can be zombified if attacked by a zombie (and subsequently dezombified by the player through some incredibly convoluted process).

Just started playing this on 360 the other night...this is seriously the most addicting game I've ever played.

The first 3 hours I played this were some of the best times I've had with a game I'm a long, long time...maybe ever.

Few moments in gaming rivaled the tense feeling I had being far away from my home and see the sun start to go down....

I haven't played it in a while, but I have the 360 version and it can be addicting.

I remember building my first shelter and being afraid to come out at night.

Ahh, good old Minecraft. I unfortunately lost interest in the game at the beginning of the year following an epic victory against the Ender Dragon with my mate. Much fun was had, but I currently have no desire to jump back in. Much fun was had, though.

Minecraft is a ton of fun with friends and online. Alone, it's kind of boring. My friends and I would meet up a few times a week last year and just play for hours.

                        Re: Minecraft

I've neglected the computer version because playing alone sucks. I have a few friends that we play regularly on several different 360 worlds. I have a world where we've almost completely transformed an entire region of the map in nothing but survival mode.

I found my way to the area just looking for a place to gather massive quantities of sand for my house. I ended up just settling there after the first couple of nights of hiding away in a crudely built hut. I finally built a mansion and then one of my friends settled right by me and we have a full fledged town going right now.

I've had probably 20 people between my friends and their friends popping into the game. It's so much fun playing with others, but I do agree it is very boring playing alone.

                          Massive bump.

Microsoft purchased Mojang, the studio behind Minecraft, today for $2.5 Billion.

I can only assume that the game's goodwill and massive fan base is going to be used to push new Windows 8 and XBOX One purchases come, say, fall 2015.

I saw this and Msoft claims they expect to recoup the cost by this time next year.

I tend to think not --- I think if you were going to pay that much for Mojang, you should have done it 2 years ago.

It seems like a very slow reflex move. I paid for it on 360, and doubt I get it for ps4 because I already played the crap out of it and it's the same general experience. Of course they can add to it, and do sequels or whatever, but I'm over it and I know a lot of people would feel the same way. It was awesome, but I don't plan on paying for any more minecraft.

$2.5 bill is a lot of cake mang
