    Great pick-up @racerx

For me, this is Top-3 of All-Time (replay-ability and massive modding capability) and I'm still playing it - it's one of those games that sucks you in as you grind-away. The fact this game is over a decade old and still keeps up is truly amazing. Pick up and play as you need as you can easily put 300+ hours into this and it still doesn't get old.

My advice is to pop on YouTube and follow load-orders to make the game shine!

For this game, Xbox is the route to go (due to Sony limiting their mods), but I won't hold it against you...especially since you're a Cards fan. lol

      Thanks Tommy

I have watched YouTube videos for load order and top mods to use. The amount of quests is unbelievable and I'm only about 20 hrs in.

With all the games for 2020 that have been pushed back this will definitely be consuming my time along with The Show 20.

I see your a Cubs fan, should be a good battle this year for the NL Central!!

Modding has always been a big part of BGS games, but I have seen some astounding mods being advertised recently.

Improved combat, modernizing the graphics, and basically creating an enhanced version of the game that we loved.

Has anyone tried out any of the complete game overhaul mod packs like Living Skyrim, Project Nolvus or Project Skyrim?

I'm about to play this (FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ) over Christmas break and I'll definitely be checking into the mods to make it look and play as modern as possible. Gonna get confusing with the load orders and such, but I will have to give it a shot. I'll be on XBox Series X for this one.

Oh man, I wish I could go back to experiencing Skyrim for the first time. Even with these new mods, I don't think that it will be quite the same as that first time seeing things after creating my character.

            Enjoy!

I've still never beaten this game, nor have I really gotten that close. I had been thinking of starting a play with some mods to enhance the experience and make it feel more modern sometime this winter. I'll take this thread as a sign of that being what I should do. After finally beating Red Dead Redemption 2 I've gotten into a spot where I've not been able to figure out what to play next.

Now gents don’t go thinking I’m bringing a wet blanket to the party lol, however, after trying most of the mods for this, it still couldn’t remedy the stiffness of the combat engine when compared to games that came out afterwards like your Witcher 3s, Shadows of Mordor, etc. The movement/interaction system is just too dated for me, which can’t be changed with mods!!!

What mods have you actually tried?

This is a very modern looking combat system (Project Nolvus, a huge modpack overhaul of the game impacting many areas).

There are several others as well.

That looks really good. Anything like that on XBox? I'm so jealous of PC mods.
