Yeah, that fire rate is what makes it so good. Recoil doesn't matter so much from point-blank range, which is where most UC multiplayer engagements take place (and if they don't start at that range, they usually end up finishing there).

Since my Internet is not up, I started single player.
Oh man, game is GORGEOUS!!! The textures and lighting is amazing. Acting top notch. Love the hilarious lines and well done delivery.
SpoilerI especially love the flashback take kinda like a young Indy. I am at the part where you are in Eastern France and just outran those spider things to leave the underground of the castle. Having a blast so far.
Can't not wait to dive back in after my patrol tonight.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Man this game (and all the Uncharted games, really) looks great! No other action-adventure game touches this franchise at the moment.
Shooting in single-player feels kinda off though. I never had a particular tough time aiming for head-shots in UC 1-2 but I'm finding myself increasingly reliant on shooting from the hip then melee in this game. I still use a lot of cover, but I've been getting rid of bad guys through run-and-gun more than ever.
Anyone else feel the same way? I'm playing on hard.Comment

Just had to come in and say...
SpoilerI have never seen cooler fire effects than this game. How everything starts to burn around you, etc. Wow!!! PC or any other consoles. The fire looks amazing. Flows so real and not just some repeated 2D particle effect. Amazing!
Just wow!!!Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

By the way, tonight is my last good night to be reached with this game online for the next couple of weeks. Tomorrow I get MW3, and the next week I get SR3. Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Technically, you're correct. Wouldn't that eliminate every other video, though? Like, you can only archive twenty at a time, so if you did twenty videos at a length of one minute each, you've filled up your archive section. I do wonder if it's worth the time and hassle.

Here is the video by the way, the resolution is actually a little better than the others (480p).

Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
What I did was I uploaded an entire 9:30 minute match to my XMB (I recorded the whole match), then I edited it, then I uploaded that whole match to YouTube. You don't need to split them up to one minute if you record the whole match to the XMB.

Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
*** **** this game and the endless enemy respawn and absurd situations they force you in sometimes.
Yes lets start player against 50 npcs right, then lets give them all monster guns, make sure 4 of them are heavy shotgunners, make sure they spam the crap out of grenades, and be sure to program that 5 of them rush the user instantly.
Oh and to top it off, make the user start with absolutely no weapon so he'll have to melee his way into a gun while getting raped by the whole ****ing army. Yeah that'll make them love us.
WTF mane?
I gotta have 7 hour breaks in between 30 min play sessions with this game lol. My life expectancy is dropping.
Oh and I passed the part in the room lol. Grabbed the sniper pistol and grenade launched the hell out of the heavys. Worked like a charm.Comment

Note to ND - You do not need to have enemies respawning all the time to make the game difficult. Be more creative.Comment

Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Jeez, reading this made me think I was listening to myself while playing. I finished the story today, and was relieved to be done. I couldn't take anymore of the endless enemies and crap. It got so annoying towards the end. I don't remember it being that bad in UC2. I feel like there were more puzzles to figure out too...and not as many crazy enemy scenes. I felt like I was playing some N64 games sometimes when the enemies seemed to be endless.

To me if they wanted to go the Indiana Jones route then they should have gave you an option be stealthy and avoid some of the gunfights.
But because of the fact it just took to long to advance the game, that just ruined it for me with the whole series. I traded both games in without touching UC2. I might pick up UC3 later on when all the hype for the games coming out this month dies down.Last edited by fatleg3; 11-07-2011, 04:12 PM.Comment

Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
This is the reason i stopped playing UC1. I picked up the dual pack and was going to play through both games to get familiar with the series then go pick up UC3 but I had to put it on the shelf halfway through UC1. I like the plot but the gunfights were just to tedious for me. Im by myself fighting 20 npc's. And there was a gunfight every time you turned a corner with no way to avoid it.

Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
I gutted through UC 1 before Batman came out and enjoyed it for what it was. Currently about 2/3 through UC 2 and absolutely love it. I'm staring at my sealed copy of UC 3 and wishing there were more hours in the day so I could get to it already. If it is even better than UC 2 which almost everyone says then I really cannot wait!Comment
