I'm a little over 60% done and on Chapter 12. The game has been fun but Uncharted has evolved from a great action game in UC1 to more of an interactive movie in UC3. I love the story aspect of this series but it feels that the game is just one cut scene after another. I think they have gone too far. I feel like a passenger in this car when I want to be the driver.

I do enjoy the game but I am glad I held off and got it for only $40. Much like UC2 the heavy scripting and overly linear feel won't push me to play it a second time. UC1 is still clearly my favourite one at this point.

You're going to be pretty angry at one of the chapters that lies ahead.

It's funny that you say this, becuase I feel the sameway. UC1 I could not put down, and I played it hard all the way and loved it. UC2 I enjoyed pretty hard also, but like you 1 was my favorite.

Now with UC3 i just stopped playing it. The two aspect that trully turned me off was the shooting controls. They just seem clumsy and not as tight as it should be. Then there are all the cut scenes that tend to slow the game down for me too much.

I will go back and play the game, but it more about me feeling that I have to finsh the game, and not because I want to play the game. Hopefully the game brings me the joy I need so I would want to play the game.

Thanks lol. I'm still enjoying it but it almost feels as though I'm watching rather than playing with all the cut scenes.

I agree. I love the story aspect but I think they went overboard. UC1 had a lot of open areas that you were free to explore, hunt for treasure and shoot a ton of bad guys. UC2's second half was great that way although I felt the first half was too restrictive. UC3 has been very restrictive so far although I was ready for that based on early impressions.

Funny, I tend to find myself playing to get TO a cutscene. Being a big Metal Gear fan, I'm used to them and trust me when I tell you, the cutscenes in Uncharted are short in comparison to some of the ones you'll find in the MGS universe.

So true...I'm playing through MGS3 on the HD collection and I have time to fix a decent meal while some of them play. Of course I already know what happens, otherwise I'd be glued to the TV.

                          Me too.

I was always thankful when I survived to make it to a cut scene.

I agree, these cutscenes are nothing compared to MGS2's cutscenes and even codecs where every few steps you would take another codec strikes.

The campaign was frustrating near the end... Bunch of fire soldiers on screen had me restarting plenty of times, red laser snipers while im trying to hand to hand combat, with grenades and rockets coming at my ***.

The campaign also felt too dragged on to me. The repetitive fighting sequence brawls were overdone. Every time i face a big giant it was the same thing. Did not enjoy this one as much as uncharted 2.
