Sorry to hear about your situation man. That's sorta why I just laughed the situation off because I know there are people up north who are out of total commission for a while.

Checked tracking this morning and the game left the Memphis, TN hub this morning and will be here today.

I played through chapter 5 last night. All that I expected One thing though, I just played through 1 and 2 again in anticipation for the new game, but the tracking on aiming your weapons seems not as good in UC3. I can't line the reticule up as precise as I could in the other two games. Anyone else notice this?

Really my only complaints with 3. I agree with you on the aiming and I also don't the walking to running animations. I am problably in the minority here but I don't lkike running all the time. I like to walk or and explore and area for treasure and stuff. Its seems to me the animations are all geared to running.

I'm absolutely having trouble with this. This was one of my big issues with the BF3 demo. The "acceleration" of the reticle is set too high. It's kind of hard to even shoot a lock off a gate lol.

Glad it isn't just me. I had to waste a bullet on the lock as well. It's not that I'm out of practice because I just played through UC and UC2, it's definitely not as precise. It's like navigating your computer with a gunked up mouse. As first I thought it was just because I couldn't see my enemies that well (the early smokey areas) but it didn't get better. Hopefully it will be some I get used to, otherwise my headshots are going to be harder to come by.

One nitpick that I have, I miss how the other games would show that my ammo was full when I tried to pick up more ammo, whereas the new game doesn't show anything when I go to pick up ammo that I'm full on.

The hand to hand combat in this game is definitely expanded from what I've seen early on. It was cool and I like the new additions to it, but I was happy when I finally got a gun

Yeah, I'm still working on perfecting my headshots. It's really difficult.

Speaking of which, I could have sworn they said they were going to do something about making ammo pickups much easier than they used to be (because you would always end up switching weapons). Maybe they were going to make it automatic, or make you hold onto Triangle to switch weapons or something. Either way, it's still as difficult as it always used to be.

edit: never mind after about 10 minutes the game gave me the solution.

That took me a good 15 minutes myself. Once I started exploring the space, I began to understand it.

BTW, just take a note from what I did and try to use spoilers next time (referring to a certain chapter, so people know whether to open it or not).

Hopefully they can patch the issues with the shooting mechanics, which I do not see being an issue if there are enough complaining about it. I just started Chapter 4 last night and can't comment on the gun play yet, but will say the first 3 chapters were very cool and different.

                    Spoiler

I thought the lighting in Chapter 2 was quite awesome and you could tell they went into detail with it as when I opened up the journal in the sun light, you see the sun hitting the journal and making it hard to read. When I walked away in spots were there wasn't any sunlight, you could read the journal.

I really liked the first chapters a lot as well.

Aiming I'm not having much trouble with, it's awkward when the enemy gets close, but you are better off with melee/blindfire in those cases anyway. I've killed 100 enemies with a gun, 38 of those were headshots.

The way Drake handles around obstacles to me is weird, he seems to stick and bounce way more than is natural. Running on the perfect path it would be really awesome and cinematic, it's just too bad I never run perfectly and the bump animations throw Drake and the camera reeling. I'll get used to it, I already am for the most part, but it really should have been toned back a bit.

So I get past that puzzle only to get stumped on another puzzle in the next friggin room. This game pisses me off.

The knight statues? I really over thought the notebook clue and made things harder than they really were.

No, I figured out those after Sully said something. I'm talking about the part with horses and birds and stuff where he comments that it looks like a game show. Even after cheating by looking around for a guide, I still don't get it. I'm not so good with these puzzle things. I used a guide for most of the ones on Uncharted 2.
