Telling you right now. I am halfway through. And it is better than UC2. I am loving it. Better may not be the right word. More like, another story in the great Saga. Seeing new locations and new graphical effects, new puzzles and lore, etc. And the acting, dialogue, etc. is stellar.

Playing on Hard first play-through and thoroughly enjoying every second of it.

I like the plot but the gunfights were just too tedious for me. Im by myself fighting 20 npc's. And there was a gunfight every time you turned a corner with no way to avoid it.
Stealth wasn't a part of UC1's gameplay. I still love UC1. It's a classic. Yes it could get repetitive once the gunplay started until about halfway through. Lots of big boards and big battles although I liked it. About halfway through though it brings you underground and into different scenarios. You should try to finish it imo.

I like all of the enemies and the gunfights. I think they're awesome so far (Chapter 10).

I enjoyed the gunfights, just had to fight strategically. The few fights I had to run in, it was just a matter of finding the right spot to fight from. I appreciated the fact that fights were a bit more varied than sticking you in the perfect cover spot right off the bat for a glorified shooting gallery.

Yeah it's definitely more varied. I can only stay in cover for a few seconds before a couple of grenades come flying in.

Patch 1.01 to be released in less than 24 hours although this appears to be just a fix for 3D TVs. Further patches are expected.

There is a lot of WOW moments in UC3. This title is nowhere near perfect, but the new melee and strategy needed to take everyone out is quite awesome.

I beat this last night and I am ready to do another run through very soon.

                  Spoiler

I am currently undecided on which I liked better overall, UC2 or 3. They both had some pretty good storylines, but UC3 has the more refined gameplay that is great for the series going forward. I felt like I had much more control over Nate.

I finally tried some MP last night, this feels like such a night and day difference since the last time I tried MP via the beta. ND did fix a lot of my issues and I feel like I'm going to enjoy the MP quite a bit with this game and I'm not much of a MP person.

No game is perfect (so I don't get why that always has to be mentioned).

Too bad there wasn't some SP DLC, ND already confirmed that. After finishing this off last night, I want more of Uncharted.

i am about 48% through the game and while I am enjoying it, I am a bit underwhelmed. So far it has not been as **** as 2, though I feel that is about to change. My main complaint is that it once again took halfway through the game for Elena to show up and when she does, she and Drake are apparently no longer together - just like in 2. First, this negates the impact of 2's emotional ending and second it feels like a repeat of 2. Are we once again gonna have to go through the bickering and will-they/won't-they get together stuff all over? It's been done twice and it's played out. At this point it just feels manipulative. Now I have no idea what will transpire during the rest of the game: maybe I am wrong and things will be different. But right now it feels the same and it feels cheap. They craft the stories and characters so well and then they trot out the same romantic subplot. After the way 2 ended, Drake and Elena should be together. This reminds me of Alien 3 when the whole point of Aliens was ruined when it was revealed that Newt was killed after all. Weak,

                              Okay, rant off.

I agree with you on that Elena, Chloe, and Cutter could have all been treated better with more fleshed out story to tell with their characters.

I won't say anything Jim, but I think once you get through the second half of the game that E.P.I.C. feel returns and to an extent at times feels a little over the top. I have come to accept that considering this is the modern day Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider. Even the supernatural aspects of the first two games is gone to a degree, depending on how you look at something later in the game.

Just try to stick with it till the end, you will be glad you did.
