Where in the world did you pre-order one from? All I've read is that the supply has pretty much run out.

edit: I think I've learned more about Mass Effect 3 than I have actually wanted to. I'm a little disappointed. I think I'm going to go into a straight up Mass Effect 3 blackout for the next 10 days.

I just got my foot in the door with the demo...then I closed the door on my foot as warning for myself to not go any further into ME3 and spoil anymore of this game lol.

It's not that I really spoiled anything. Hell, a lot of the things I've learned where things I assumed was going to happen anyways, like:

(seriously, don't click it if you don't know about the DLC)

        Spoiler

Some part of me wishes I had never even played the demo, but that might be a little ridiculous. I wish to know NOTHING of the story, though, which is why I somewhat regret playing the demo...

Here's a Multiplayer Guide that I made up:

*Note: I consider myself a above average Mass Effect Multiplayer player. I
have played with very good players and very bad players. This guide is to help
people play better. I do not say Im an expert at this game, this is just for newer players who would like some help.*Note 2: These are also mainly for Silver and Gold difficulties. Bronze is
          pretty straight forward.

          pretty straight forward.

          · Don’t complain about getting assists, ME Multiplayer has a unique way to get EXP. Yes you get individual rewards (Example: 10 assists, 25 kills....etc.) however they still get put into the total EXP that goes to everyone.

          · Communicate with mics. Not really necessary on Bronze difficulty but in Silver it helps and in Gold it’s almost a must. Picking out targets like Centarians, Guardians and Atlas’s locations are very helpful.

          · Use your Abilities! I have played too many games to where people are neglecting their abilities and just using their weapon. Soldiers and Sentinels can be the exception to the rule to an extent.
          · Biotics should, IMO, have a fast recharge speed and use powers 90%-100% of the time. I very rarely use my gun with my Biotic. There are different styles of play however I’m just giving tips.

          · Make sure you study your abilities and use them in the right situations. Use push on a Guardian to move away its shield, Overload Atlas’s, etc.....a little planning goes a long way.

          · Don’t complain if you run off and die and nobody comes to your rescue. Realize you not only are killing yourself but you are also taking a valuable asset of an extra guy away from your team.

          · Don’t be stupid Vanguards and Infiltrators. Just because you can use Biotic Charge and go invisible doesn’t mean you indestructible. This goes for other characters as well I just see it with them two a lot more than the others.
          · I have a level 20 Vanguard and I know how to use him. Plan your attacks with an escape route before you crash into a group of enemies. Vanguards are very powerful in great hands. I can pretty much solo Bronze and a little of silver with him.
          · Infiltrators are meant to use invisibility to get out of situations and to use hit and run tactics on enemies. Also great for catching objective in enemy territory like Indoctrination points and such.

          · Don’t always use an instant revive pack especially when there’s someone right beside you or it’s the end of the round. Even in the beginning of an early round you can hold off. If you get stomped on just go with it. They are very valuable in later levels and don’t need to be wasted. Just because you go down doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world, it happens to all of us. Remember points all combine so getting that extra couple of kills can wait for a bit.
          · Using the instant shield equipment (Right on D-PAD) also can be a life saver in dire situations. However the same rules apply, don’t waste them.

          · Don’t always use your Rocket on Atlas’s. They can be brought down pretty quickly by combining fire power on one at a time. Use a rocket only in must needed situations or higher waves, especially Gold. There are so many in that difficulty that a strongly suggest saving some for waves 8-11.
          · Pro tip: If you can maneuver around the map and try to take out two of them with one rocket it will help in the long run. Rockets have large splash damage.
          · Using Tech Bursts/Biotic Explosions also take Atlas’s out and stagger them.

          · On gold especially move around the map at nice steady paces. If everyone can move together your survival rate will be higher. Just make sure you keep your eyes open.

          · Use your tech burst/Biotic Explosions. (Example: Stasis+Warp) They are great ways to do AOE damage over a number of different enemies. Here’s a list I found that could help some. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/99548...ect-3/62008959

          · Make sure you replenish your ammo. I’m pretty sure in Bronze your ammo is replenished in every round, Silver you get a small amount of ammo back between rounds and in Gold you get no ammo or very little back between rounds.

          · Aim for the head. From my experience there are head shot bonuses. You will save lots of ammo and time by shooting the head and getting that satisfying head pop sound.

          · Destroy Turrets and kill Combat engineers as fast as possible. Turrets are almost the most lethal thing in the game. They rip through your shields and can easily wipe a whole group if you aren’t careful and don’t pay attention. You can also just avoid that area as well, they will disappear over time however that risks you running into them accidently.
          · Pro tip: Using Tech Burst’s and Biotic Explosion’s on turrets kill them pretty quickly.

          Enemy Character Tips:

          1. Assault Troopers - Pretty basic to take down. Groups of them can cause havoc but other than that their just fodder.

          2. Centarians – These guys can cause a bit of trouble only due to their energy shield. Once that’s gone they are basically an Assault Trooper with better accuracy. Use Warp and Overload on them if you have it. If not just blast away.

          3. Nemisis – Crazy accurate snipers that can destroy you in 2 shots on their own and 1 if your hurt. Not much of a threat by themselves but combined with other enemies they can be a deadly force. You the same strategies as I mentioned above on these.

          4. Guardians – These guys can be a real pain, they walk around with Solid Bullet-proof shields. There are a couple of ways to deal with them. First off if you have a precision weapon (Sniper, pistol w/ scope, etc..) you can shoot through the small opening where its head is. You can also shoot its feet and gun that are exposed from the
front. Use Biotic Push on its shield to knock it away from in front of him and blast away or curve it around him to blast him in one direction. Other attacks work as well but I’m not entirely sure what they are. To add a Widow can shoot right through the shield.

          5. Combat Engineers – They are basically Centarians with turrets. These are very lethal. Take them out fast or else you’re going to be staring at 4 turrets in no time. Call them out.

          6. Phantoms – These can be very lethal as well. They can assassinate you which outright kills you. They can also cloak so be wary. Be sure to call them out when you see them.

          7. Atlas’s – These can be very lethal or very easy depending on when they appear, how many appear and whose all in your group. Rockets one shot them but I don’t recommend it unless needed. Use focus fire, Tech Bursts/Biotic Explosions and Rockets to take them out. They are also another enemy that will assassinate you.

          Weapon Levels:

From what information I have gathered, increasing your weapons level makes it lighter and allows for other small features for your gun.

This is some of the information I have gathered and have expereienced in my play time. If any has anything else to add on to it feel free to post. Hopefully this helps.

          Posted suggestions:

Thoragoros: If you are an Adept or an Asari, put the sniper rifle down. You aren't helping anybody that way. You're powers are a team asset, and you are reducing their recharge with that sniper rifle.

          Mr.House:
A few things you can add to your guide, stasis bubble is really handy when it comes to Phantoms, Nemesis and guardians.

Sidney: With Guardians the best trick for Engineers is to target them and Drone. The Drone will appear behind them and they will turn to engage then they are lunch meat.On the white level use throw on the jet packing guys at the LZ as you can single shot push them off the ledge. There is no reason to carry more than 1 weapons for most classes. I regularly carry only one weapon. I never run out of ammo and the cooldown benefits are flippin' huge.

              Great multiplayer write up there.

Let me add that if someone in your group has the widow sniper rifle, let them handle guardians. I can pretty much shoot anywhere near the opening on the shield and one hit kill them.

Same here. I think the only thing that can alleviate my Mass Effect 3 woes is playing the first two. That, or I could acquire a chainsaw, go out to California and cut down that redwood.

Would suck if it was a PS3 copy, though.

Get a BB sniper rifle. Just enough pop to knock it loose but not too much where it will cause damage to the disc. I'd grab some beer, some sandwiches, and a lawn chair and call it a day

I have plenty of stuff to do, I probably won't play ME3 until they stop releasing DLC. I'd rather play through the game with all the DLC then with none of it. Then again it's the last game in the trilogy so with wouldn't effect saves for future games.

First Mass Effect 3 Review Reveals It's 40 Hours Long

                              Author: Pete Haas
                              published: 2012-02-27 14:31:19

Regardless of whether or not you get the "From Ashes" DLC for Mass Effect 3, the game should take you awhile to complete. German magazine Gamestar's review of ME3, seemingly the first published worldwide, reveals that the RPG is about as long as the previous two entries in the series.

Gamestar's review (summarized on the BioWare Social Network) states that the main quest will take about 15-20 hours to complete. There's about 90 minutes of cutscenes throughout the game. If you do all the side missions, the game will take about 40 hours to complete.

Players will have strong incentive to play through all the optional missions. Completing these quests will boost the galaxy's chances at surviving the Reapers' invasion. This Galactic Readiness level will be easily viewed with a terminal on the Normandy. A high Galactic Readiness will ensure a better ending to the campaign.

The review, or at least the summary of the review, makes no mention of the multiplayer. ME3 offers up a series of four-player co-op missions. Players create custom characters and can upgrade them over time as they complete more and more missions. This new mode should add quite a bit to the game's playtime as well.

ME3 will make its debut in North America on March 6th. Expect a whole lot more reviews to hit the internet between now and then.
