RE: Ending
SpoilerPlotholes, everywhere. I mean, I took Garrus and Tali with me on my last mission, they were with Shepard when the beams hit. Somehow, they both walk out unscathed from the Normandy in the "what?" crash scene.
It seems so wildly incoherent.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Re: Mass Effect 3
Interesting theory regarding the ending:
Spoiler
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/foru...AD-THIS-PLEASE
Basically a theory that the entire thing was a hallucination/indoctrination/dream. I doubt it, but seems like a really well thought out piece by the poster.

Re: Mass Effect 3
SpoilerYou never see your squadmates running with everyone else towards the beam nor do you see them get hit by anything. You also have no idea how long it took for Shepard to get to the Citadel or how long he was unconscious once he got there.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
About the ending
SpoilerI have no idea where the whole "our choices didn't matter" stuff is coming from. You have no idea what happens to anyone other than Joker and the two squadmates you chose. The Mass Relays and the Reapers are destroyed and that's all that we know about. As someone else said, the ending closed out Shepard's story with him doing what he set out to do in the first place. I'm really interested to see what they're going to do with DLC cause I have no idea how they can continue, unless they decide to make you control Joker or something.SpoilerMaybe something to do with the fact that you don't see the outcome for the choices you picked? If you picked event A over event B, but don't get to see the end results of picking event A over event B then what was the point of it in the first place?
As others have said I'm not exactly outraged over Shepard dying, because I somewhat expected it. However, the lack of an epilogue and glaring plot holes really contribute to a sense of a lack of closure.Oklahoma State Cowboys 2011 Big XII Champions, 2012 Fiesta Bowl Champions

Re: Mass Effect 3
SpoilerThen they should have shown a scene with them boarding the Normandy while you charged on Harbinger with Hammer squad. They're with you the whole mission, it doesn't make sense for them to just not be there, unless Shepard wanted to go alone and had them board the Normandy to help distract Harbinger or something.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Ending:
SpoilerSo wait not everyone's Shepard survived? Mine took a breath at the very end in the rubble and was still alive.

Re: Mass Effect 3
I just beat it also.
Ending thoughts..
Spoiler
The little twist at the end was a little weird and it almost got close to the Matrix moment. At least the story was pointing to the Reapers being just machines of someone/something elses doing and the architect didn't just show up.
If anything, I wish there was an epilogue putting a nice bow on some of the characters. I have to view this game as the final chapter in its entirety not just that last mission. That said, the entire game closed out the series just fine by me.
And Candyman... no I didn't see that, even though my forces was over 5k.

Re: Mass Effect 3
SpoilerThere's a 200+ page post on the Bioware forums going over the Indoctrination/Hallucination theory and I've read probably all of it since the wheels began turning.
Whether or not it is intended, my stance on it is there are so many inconsistencies and overall wonkiness in the end that it accounts for it.
Not ready to accept that as the ending yet, but it's interesting nonetheless. Curious to hear an official statement from Bioware. The "fan" response has been crazy to the ending.
I just don't know how the team could sit back, watch that ending, and be like "FANTASTIC JOB GUYS THAT'S A WRAP!".

The whole time I thought.. damn I killed Liara, sorry girl. Then poop... she jumps out of the Normandy. I just assumed she was behind me just like Anderson was and they never showed him. I don't think it was a plot hole but from a continuity standpoint it was a little off.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
SpoilerTo me that makes even less sense. Why would my squad mates turn and abort mission at this point without holding Shepard back? Why would they abandon Shepard, at that? How did Anderson get ahead of Shepard without a single scratch?
As for Shepard living, I've seen that ending. Hard to decipher what they meant by it - but it doesn't even look like it's on the Citadel. Looks like concrete, cement, rebar... "Human" materials. I refuse to accept that Shepard survived a fall down to Earth. Who knows? Maybe it's still within the "Catalyst".
So many ambiguities.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Re: Mass Effect 3
SpoilerIt's not about them turning around and aborting, you just have no idea where they are. Anderson wasn't injured like Shepard was so its not like it's incredible that he got ahead.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Re: Mass Effect 3
SpoilerMay be the case. Seems ambiguous and poorly executed one way or the other. Have a hard time believing my Squad decided not to charge the beam with Shepard when it came to that point. Maybe they didn't get hit who knows, but they went that far for what? I... guess... I can accept my team wasn't near the beams... and they were tossed into the Normandy one way or the other....Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment
