Play with people you know. I played just myself and brother on bronze, communicated and worked up our characters a bit. As we leveled it became much easier, as well as getting a feel for how it worked. We've yet to clear it but we've pushed further. I suggest finding a few people to play with that you can cooperate with and it will be much better.
They didn't mention caches, but they are there and you are now aware of it so that hurdle was cleared.
The different objectives are difficult but it gives it a challenge no doubt, especially the assassination objectives.
Overall I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed any horde mode in any other game, and with the customization and different classes it seems pretty well put together. I love mass effects combat though so to me it feels unique and fresh.
Also, just two maps to see thus far, and my experience with it is you have to maneuver and adapt not so much camp out at the spawn.
I think if you keep an open mind and play with a reasonable person or two you'll have a better experience.
The booster packs seem like a cool idea to give out random rewards, weapons, and upgrades. Plus the perks of medigels ammo types (and the other single use perks) and a whole bunch of things we've yet to see from the full game (seems like customization options and what not).
PS. I was in your boat, very pessimistic and hated the idea of multiplayer, but I was pleasantly surprised with it and will definitely play it if only to share the enjoyment of ME with friends
