You being indoctrinated slowly is the only thing that makes sense. If you go back and watch that first scene with the kid when he dies you'll notice that nobody acknowledges him at all. Anderson doesn't, nobody on the shuttle does either. And if you read the codex about indoctrinating it says that the person will start to have hallucinations that they think are dreams and will hear a hum and think they are being watched (Vega hears a hum and mentions it, and the two girls standing by the scanner say they feel like they are being watched.

Basically, you HAVE to be or it makes no sense. But either way Bioware screwed the pooch because that means their stupid asses gave as a non-ending in a game we paid money for. No matter what, Bioware ****ed up bad.

Screw you guys and your massive amount of spoilers! I do appreciate you not ruining anything for me, though..


I'm only about 7 1/2 hours played, but I'll get to it eventually. I'm just being very thorough with my first play through and trying to grasp everything. It's been very action packed thus far and I've all ready had to make a few interesting decisions. I hope I actually enjoy the ending, but it looks like there's a chance I could be disappointed..

Its a great game Chase. Just really, really enjoy the ride.

I want a Prequel game where as you play as the Protheans in their cycle. Mainly because I want to know how in the hell they were the dominant species with that very weak particle rifle they use. Seriously that gun is weak and does very little damage. So I want to know what other advanced species it was during their cycle. I was so disappointed......since for 2 games were kept hearing how damn advanced they were but yet their assault rifle is WEAK.

How do you guys feel about the scopes for guns ?

I have a love-hate relationship with them. It seems to do a lot of good, when it comes to getting headshots, but it seems to distract me from the battle going on .,,

there are guns in the game? I thought there were only Biotics and tech powers(pretty much all I used as a Sentinel).

I did carry around the N7 Hurricane SMG and N7 Eagle Pistol for a long time. at the end I used the N7 Hurricane and the M-96 Mattock Assault Rifle(still had +200% power cooldown bonus). I didn't use a scope with either though, the SMG I used ammo capacity and lightwieght(made the Hurricane basically weight nothing). the Mattock was extended barrell and ammo. I believe the same when I used pistol.

I'm on the last mission right now(or I assume anyway), should beat it shortly.

One thing I'm curious about is why there's practically no middle choices in this game. That was often a reasonable one if you didn't want to be an ***.

I'm doing a speed through with the Shep I made in ME 2 for the purposes of dying. All that's changed is Ashley smiles more. Exactly the same with a different character in place of those that died. I had been expecting that to matter more.

I have to admit that I do find people being super upset that the ending may be DLC kinda funny. I mean, one of the biggest storylines in ME 2 was DLC. Doesn't make it right (or wrong depending how you want to look at it), but is it really all that surprising at this point?

It's apparent that BioWare has a talented team of writers who have no clue how to end a game.

Disagree completely with this. You were there to stop the Collectors, not Harbinger. They were harvesting humans and it was already said that they take on the form of whatever species is harvested. The Reapers weren't even in that area, so it wouldn't make sense for Harbinger to be there at all.

Scopes only go on my Mantis/Black Widow sniper rifle. Allows me to see heat signatures through smoke. Doesn't go on anything else.

And I do agree with you on that first thing you just stated Goh. Thought it was kind of odd they took those out.

Revising the ending to the game/series via DLC is nowhere near the same as the shadow broker dlc. ME2 without the shadow broker is completely satisfying. If they did a new/additional/good ending as DLC that's a terrible precedent, especially if it was planned.

How could anyone condone the end of a narrative not being present in the initial telling of the narrative?

That's like if you bought the last Harry potter book and the last 30 pages were only available 3 months after the book came out. It's ridiculous.

Games have to decide what they want to be. If you're a narrative medium, then tell a story, and don't pull any gimmicks in order to drum up money or controversy. If you're a "toy", then don't try to pretend that you're an artistic work, because you're not.

This was the last game of the series. To offer any kind of cliffhanger is just wrong.

I disagree with the arrival being a waste. Kind of a big plot point between the two games.
