Re: Resident Evil 6
This is what they need to remake. A game that never came out.
In addition to the killer wind-up babies, I think it is the environments that make that demo great. Obviously the armored knights stayed in RE4, but the dining room reminded me of the one used in RE5 Lost in Nightmares.
RE6 just needs to elevate its creepiness to a similar level and recapture that sense of anticipation and desperation in the gameplay.Comment

after playing dead space, you better be able to move and shoot in RE 6....otherwise it'd be unplayable."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Re: Resident Evil 6
The video I posted is what Resident Evil 4 was supposed to be before they scrapped the whole project and started over. As you can see its the same formula as RE1 and you're back in a mansion. Now RE4 is probably my favorite action/adventure game ever but now I sort of wish they stayed on track with the above posted video. Looked amazing.

Re: Resident Evil 6
Literally, I will never forget that moment.
Walking down the hallway with the large glass windows on one side, seeing a crow flying around and being like "Wow, that's cool."
...and then the windows shatter and a flock comes in. I watched as they picked me apart because I was so ****ing freaked out.Comment

Re: Resident Evil 6
If Capcom does decide to allow simultaneous shooting and movement, which I doubt will happen, they would definitely have to increase the speed of the zombies too.Comment

Re: Resident Evil 6
I respectfully disagree. The "clunky" controls are a staple of the RE series and serve to create more suspense when shooting zombies. It's actually one of the few "survivor horror" traits that the series has retained from last gen consoles.
If Capcom does decide to allow simultaneous shooting and movement, which I doubt will happen, they would definitely have to increase the speed of the zombies too.
Sometimes companies hit a point where, at one time they were innovative, but now they are behind the curve... for Capcom, this is one of those times. Suspenseful or not, the controls just feel antiquated at this point.Comment

I hope they go back to that setting as well. Especially the static cameras. While that can be frustrating at times when fighting an enemy, I think it adds to the creepy atmosphere and allows more "OH CRAP!" moments such as the one Beantown mentioned.
I still laugh when I think of how high I jumped when those dang dogs busted through that large window! Hahaha.
Man, thinking back to RE1 is great. That was such an awesome game. Starting off in that big mansion with weird sounds and disturbing images of dead bodies being picked at by crows.
They got the ambiance down perfectly to the point your skin was crawling before the game even began.
I'd like to see that again with RE6 or a reboot.Comment

Re: Resident Evil 6
I hate the fact that you can't shoot and move, mainly because it just seems so out-of-place.
Everything else is incredibly realistic for the storyline - as in, as realistic as a story about zombies can be - but your character isn't physically capable of moving and shooting at the same time? It's annoying.
Not unplayable, I agree, but it's cloeer to a 'game-killer' than what people always throw around about wrong colored equipment and the wrong helmets.Comment

EGM: Resident Evil 6 “brutally scary,” to be revealed at Tokyo Game Show
EGM is claiming it spoke with a “reliable insider” with knowledge of Capcom’s Resident Evil 6. Apparently, it’ll be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show this week and “go back to [the series'] roots.”
“This will be, by far, the most gruesome Resident Evil game to date,” said the source, whose identity EGM is keeping secret. “A real emphasis is being placed on making the game brutally scary.”
When contacted, Capcom responded to the rumor, saying they “[have] not made any announcements [about Resident Evil 6] and [do] not comment on rumors.”Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

There is no place like Nebraska
Dear old Nebraska U.
Where the girls are the fairest,
The boys are the squarest,
Of any old school that I knew.
There is no place like Nebraska,
Where they're all true blue.
We'll all stick together,
In all kinds of weather,
