if true, why not use the reach engine?

I'd rather trust a remake by the Timeshift developers if it were at least using bungie work, rather than from scratch or whatever. A 1080p Halo game is hilarious as well, almost enough to make this all a BS rumor.

as big of a Halo fan as I am, I'm going to play the wait and see game on this. I still have my original Halo disc, so if this doesn't bring anything new to the table other than some upgraded graphics, then I'll probably pass.

I, for one, am a huge fan of HD remakes and updates. There are so many games I'd like to see done and this is absolutely one of them. I'm a bit skeptical on the news of a new engine powering it but what do I know, really? Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Using the reach engine wouldn't serve CE justice. Their is a cult following behind this game and I know plenty of people who would jump at the chance to be able to play CE on Xbox Live. If the Reach engine was used there would be outrage in the Halo community.

I, for one, am a huge fan of HD remakes and updates.

I have a soft spot for this game, since its was the first shooter I could get into on a console. But I just don't have the desire to spend the time replaying these older games. I'd rather try and get to the newer games I haven't got to yet.

All I want is for them to add online multiplayer to the original. Why, they couldn't do this when they added a downloadable version, I'll never understand.

I will definitely be keeping an eye on this. I just hope they don't frak it up too much.

Halo 1 maps are a Reach map pack. Online co-op. Price will be $40.

I personally consider Halo CE to be the greatest FPS of all time, so I will be purchasing, especially with the 6 MP and 1 Firefight map for Reach's multiplayer.

No multiplayer in the CE remake? I'll pass. I've played through the campaign probably 50+ times but I only had desire to play some Halo 1 multiplayer, not a map pack for Reach.

How much you want to bet that they will announce a Halo 4 beta with purchase of Halo CE to try to sell more copy's.

Crackdown with Halo 3, ODST with Reach.

Also love the back button feature.
For those who don't know what that is, it allows you to change back and forth between the HD remake graphics and the original.
