I think the great thing about this time around is that everyone wins. There will always be people that have to trash anothers rival game, but in reality everyone is a winner.

Battlefield is amazing for what it is supposed to be, and by the same token...CoD is great for what it is supposed to be.

Both games are different and no matter which game one seems to prefer, there is a quality title out there to play.

No one is a loser this time around, everyone benefits.

I agree as I bought both titles and enjoy both games and gives me break from each one. I am glad they are not exact replicas of each other as both games offer a different style of gameplay. Never a bad thing to have 2 great titles to choose from.

Reminds me of 2004, when football gamers had both Madden 05 and NFL2k5 on their shelf. Great times!

And the toob can still be very useful. I've already used it more in this game than in MW2 and BLOPs combined. Its a nice alternative to running around some of these overly complicated levels and being shot at from 15 different directions.

well launch day and no issues getting into any type of multi game...I thought alll big titles would have issues on first day.....

Weren't there problems with the party system, or are we just overlooking that?

Yeah, you can get shot from all sorts of places. There is nowhere to hide or even catch your breath on the few maps I've played lol

The game is smooth as butter and fun as hell though.

Any of you guys on the PS3 find that MW3 spins somewhat loud on the PS3? I also found black ops did this for me also. Any help would be great. Im loving the game so far

I'm not sure what type of drastic makeover you were expecting from this series as for the most part we know what to expect from the Call of Duty series. Each installment in the series sets a new record in terms of sales so I doubt the developers would want to drastically deviate from this formula. As far as improvements go, from what I've read and not actually played the game yet, noob tubing has been greatly reduced, a new weapons leveling system has been added, kill confirmed mode has been added which I believe should greatly reduce instances of camping, new killstreak/deathstreak variants, Call of Duty Elite, etc. so I believe they have done enough, in my opinion, to warrant a purchase and address some of the concerns from previous installments.

I see this being similar to a sports title you would purchase. They are not going to change the actual sport mechanic year to year. However, they will prove gameplay, add presentation, update rosters, etc. to make it warrant a purchase year to year.

One game mode doesn't impress me, even if it does eliminate camping. It's essentially a non camping deathmatch mode, and every once in a while I wanna play a different kind of game mode. That could easily be a popular DLC. I don't care for Call of Duty Elite, eliminating noob tubing should have been a patch, I hate the Killstreak stuff, and deathstreaks were a horrible idea (all in my opinion).

Again not trolling, just pointing out some stuff that people think are massive improvements that are small and could have easily been fixed in the first place.

Went out and bought the game, despite not really wanting to, and so far it's been kind of "meh" to me. The entire Call of Duty series is on a steady downward trend. I played Call of Duty 4 something ridiculous like 28 days in multiplayer. I never even reached 1 day in Black Ops. I'm sure I'll play this one more than that, but in the limited amount of time I played it I didn't get that wow factor.

I do like the Kill Confirmed mode. It's a great alternative to Team Deathmatch, which like always is filled with campers and I hate it with a passion. It seems they toned down the M16 big time, which is unfortunate because I like the use the burst weapons and it's a lot harder to do well with it. I don't want to get to the point like I did in MW2 and have to use the Riot Shield all the time because the other weapons are too frustrating.

I'll probably still play this occasionally with friends, but honestly Forza 4 will be getting more play time.

Again, completely depends on your tastes and preferred style of play.

I like the quick, fast-paced shoot-first nature of COD so I didn't even bother picking up BF3.

If you do not have the game and tell us that you are not impressed by what is being reported then you have no biz in this thread.

Yea because you have the game and know about this. That is not the same as release day having one game only because all night the server was down and nothing but single player could be played.

Party system is not going to negate online mp

I just finished it, took me about 5.5 hrs.
