Core takes more ability to shoot accurately, because one stray bullet doesn't get the job done. Hardcore takes quicker reflexes, but less recoil and ammo management (you're less likely to run out of ammo, and there's no showing up on a map unless there's uav).

That makes sense. Although it just seems to me that the entire strategy changes between the two modes; in Core, it seems that you have to pound guys with a bunch of lead and they can duck out of the way or maneuver around even if you solidly hit them first, yet they still kill you, whereas I feel that this happens less often in hardcore. In my opinion, I rarely feel cheated in hardcore if I die, but in regular mode I often feel like I wailed on an opposing player multiple times yet I still end up dying....I guess it's just what you're used to and what you prefer in the end.

There's pros and cons to both. I play both. I actually feel less cheated in core. Getting the drop on somebody isn't as big of an advantage, so you don't see as many campers, and grenade launchers are much less effective. On core, you simply have to be accurate with your shooting. If you pop them in the head, they go down. They'll also have a harder time shooting you while you are shooting them. You can't stay stationary either. Being good at core is all about having accuracy while moving and knowing how to manage your recoil, like I said. Hardcore is all about getting the first shot off, since with most guns, one shot does the job.

Really stupid questions coming but has any map pack or dlc been released for non-elite subscribers on the PS3? I haven't played or read up on MW3 news in a few months and thought I would check out the new maps, but in the PSN Store I only see themes.

Sometime in April the new map packs will be released but I haven't heard a date.

Thanks well that sucks. I'm deploying in early May so I won't have much time with the map packs.

Right move by him. Call of Duty is starting to decline. This was the worst Call of Duty game of the whole series on the current consoles.

I don't know the details on Mr.Bowling stepping down, so I can't comment if it is the right move or not, but this is the worst COD of them all.

Something happened because this came out of nowhere. Money had to be a factor. In time we shall find out.

What happened was everyone who actually mattered at IW quit 2 years ago and this game was made by Zombie IW and two other teams in different locations.

I'll still take it over boring *** COD 4 though.
