So they're not aware you could kill an entire club of girls in their underwear or a team of Swedish bikini models in Bloodmoney? And consequently place them in whatever posistion you want?

Their sexuality does not make them better assassins
You haven't seen Goldeneye have you?

To be successful in a Hitman game requires thoughtful, methodical, careful execution (no pun intended) of a plan that needs to be scouted and researched.
Nope you've always been free to shoot up the whole place too, that's what is great about it.

Either way, it was brutally violent, but 47 is brutally violent.

Right, you've been free to, but it is not certainly the "correct" way to play the game (per their own ranking system). To be successful at Hitman has always been to be methodical and plan ahead. Getting yourself into combat scenarios was always discouraged, especially at high levels of play. Ideally, you'd get in and out of an area without anyone ever knowing you were there.

Yeah, a lot of people are taking it to the more feminist route, but to me that's just an unimaginative genre trope. But the bigger crime is misrepresenting what Hitman is supposed to be about. It's like if a Gran Turismo trailer showcased big jumps and arcade style racing.

Successful would be getting to the end of the game which you can do any way you want. Obviously doesn't get you the SA ranking but they have special ranks for killing people too. There was one in Bloodmoney for killing some exact number of people with a knife.

Yes 47 spent much of Hitman 2 hiding out in a church.

So are you seriously trying to make the argument that Hitman is NOT a game where avoiding conflict is a virtue?

What I absolutely loved about Hitman is that you could play any way you want and, yes, that includes killing every mother****er in sight. No right, no wrong, just a ton of options and freedom.

So you feel like this trailer actually represents the gameplay experience of playing Hitman?

No I'm arguing you can get to the same place in a different way and it's still a success. Also yes the trailer does represent that experience if that's the one you want. Sure there's another way and you can even combine them or like me come up with needlessly complicated plans but shooting your way through everything is just as valid.

Assuming you are talking the nun trailer? Absolutely. What's interesting about the trailer is that he goes garotte, broken neck, (silent takedown covering mouth?), then pulls doubleballers, and then we see a bit of hand to hand (which if memory serves is an improvement). That covers a lot of ground as far as options go. It's not like 47 was sitting in cover or running around a waist high wall strewn battlefield.

the thing i love about the other hitman games was how you could free roam all the levels and explore and find different stuff going on in each level. Also the computer ai characters were always doing there own thing. Its the only game i can think of that does this so well.

I could just play blood money by just checking out each room in each level. its a very unique game and i hope they didnt change that part of it.
I can't imagine why they'd go away from that design... considering the only other game I can think of that really allowed you to explore and complete missions in such a variety of ways was Deus Ex, and that game was highly rated by critics and gamers alike, I don't see why the Hitman series would shy away from it.

If they do go more linear, it will be a terrible terrible mistake... considering the strides a game like Deus Ex made, the creative aspect of Hitman should be amazing if they do it right.

It keeps happening, but another retailer has posted a listing for an as yet unannounced title. This time it's a HD trilogy of last-generation Hitman games. The collection reportedly includes Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman 3: Contract and Hitman: Blood Money (which also came out on Xbox360).

The bundle was espied on 16Games,an Italian retailer, with a release date of October 15th. With the next instalment in the series,Hitman: Absolution, out on November 20th,it gives newcomers and fans alike enough time to get up to speed with the series. Currently, the listing is only for a PlayStation 3 collection.
