My feeling is that if you can't afford $400 right away then you probably shouldn't be buying it.Comment

Some people don't like dropping $400 at once. I could do it if I wanted to, but why should I when I can make non-interest payments for 12 months, allowing me to continue to build my savings while not taking a big hit at once?--

As for me, consoles, or in my most recent case, a new surround sound system from BB, I used my BB cc but I'll gladly take the extra rewards points over the financing. I just got a $45 cert a few days ago from that surround sound purchase.Comment

Re: Official Gaming Deals Thread
Some people put things in layaway because it's not a necessity right now, but they may like it in the future. People put gifts on layaway all the time because they don't need said product right now, so it makes a lot more sense to pay a little here and a little there until they need it. $400 is absolutely a large purchase. Not everyone makes $20 an hour.--

Make sure Systems are included on that. I know they've been known to leave Video Game Systems off of the eligibility list.--

Re: Official Gaming Deals Thread
Seen this at slickdeals:
Purchase Target $1 Preorder Card and get $20 off Call of Duty Ghosts: As low as $1.99 YMMV
<!-- google_ad_section_start --> Currently, If you purchase a $1 preorder card for COD: Advanced Warfare, you will get a $20 Discount on Call of Duty Ghosts from Target (In Store).
Target.com is currently cheaper than Target In-Store. First, price match Call of Duty Ghosts with Target.Com.
Current Prices are:
Call Of Duty Ghosts PS4 $33.49
Call Of Duty Ghosts PS3 $22.49
Call Of Duty Ghosts XBox 360 $20.99
Call Of Duty Ghosts XBox One $23.49
Then add the $1 Pre-Order Card for $20 Off. With the $1 Pre-Order, this will bring the cost to:
PS4 Version - $14.49
PS3 Version - $3.49
360 Version - $1.99
XBox One Version - $4.49
Definitely YMMV, but its been reported working since the computer allows it (but the employee needs to "approve" it).
You can even extend the deal even further by trading in Ghosts at Best Buy with their 50% trade in bonus. For example, purchase XBox One vesrion for $4.49 and get $33.00 at Best Buy ($22.00 + 50% Trade In Bonus) referenced in this Slickdeals thread
