Not sure if someone posted it but physical stores and Microsoftstore.com has both Destiny and CoD AW for $29.99 today. I just ordered one each for the wife and I.

      Re: Official Gaming Deals Thread

So, I purchased an XBOX One 2 or 3 weeks ago with a few games. I also picked up a GCU membership along with it. The guy that checked me out wasn't a normal cashier so I was concerned. This week I went back to Best Buy to do the B2G1 deal, the GCU discount did not apply and the girl at the register said it was because of the free game that I would receive from the that deal.

I tried to call 1-800-BESTBUY, but they were useless and said I needed my receipt from 2 or 3 weeks ago and needed to go to the store. I did an online chat, and they were pretty unhelpful as well, saying it was only an in-store promotion and it can not even be used to online to buy games, which I'm assuming is untrue. Any advice?

Log-in to your online account, and add any three $59.99 games to your cart. Show them that two of the games appear as $47.99 and a third appears as $0.00.

Better yet, order them online, even if for in-store pickup. Feel free to do it that way if you can't get to them by the end of business today (when the sale ends).

If you're having trouble making all of this happen... yes, I'm going to cheapskate you when I'm advising I can buy them for you on my account.

They're wrong on all accounts. It can be used online and your GCU discount should've applied to the B2G1. I just did this yesterday without issue.

It sounds like the guy that initially rung you up screwed up and never actually signed you up.

BestBuy doesnt have a guaranteed release day delivery on pre orders. So I like you always do in store pickup for my pre orders and just bout most orders I do on BestBuy.com

I had the same thing happen to me when I did the B2G1. When I purchased the GCU they had a problem doing it as well at the register. I brought my receipt when I bought the 3 games showing I purchased the GCU just in case and sure enough it did not work. They had to manually enter the deal for the GCU.

My result was different then yours though when I called, they linked 2 accounts I had into 1 and got the GCU activated on my single account now. I would call back and try someone else because they can fix it.

Same here. Usually always pick up in the store.

Would Best Buy price match Amazon's price of $29.99 for NBA 2K15?

They sure should. I wish there was a way to price match online, but that would somehow get exploited within hours.

Exactly. They couldn't hard-code that with other sites in any way. I'm just saying that would make things easier, especially when I need to take advantage of it during rush hour or after closing time and it's rendered impossible to take advantage of whatever deal you're going for.

All they'd have to do is get the list of games for the month which they alrready get and which ones are on sale.

Basically have a price match a month sale on games. They could easily verify that.

No way you can't tell me these companies don't watch their comp.
