    Re: Official Gaming Deals Thread

Next week Best Buy is running a promotion if you trade in madden 15 you get a guarantee of $20 for the trade-in ( Will probably actually be $22 with the 10% bump for GCU) and on your receipt for the trade-in should have a $10 off coupon when you purchase madden 16 . The coupon only works in store. So the best way to get Madden 16 is to trade in madden 15 next week then pre-order madden 16 in store by putting five bucks down. Then you can pick up the game in store on release day. If you use the coupon when you pick up the game and have gamers club unlocked the $10 coupon will be deducted from the price first then you get the gamers club unlocked discount making the total cost $40 before tax. You will also get $10 in reward zone certificates for pre-ordering that you can use later. Hope that helps.

Anyway, whats the best way to handle preordering a game when I also will be trading in some games and want to get credit to go towards Madden?

Should I go trade in the games get that credit on a gift card then preorder ? or will i get maybe a more % on my trade ins when trading for Madden?

I haven't seen any trade in offers and if someone could possibly link me to best buys trade ins for the next coming weeks id greatly appreciate it, IF BB does have that kind of thing.

      Thanks in advance fellas
They are going to have a trade in offer for Madden if you are trading last year's version, they did the same thing last year. The best way to do it is trade last year's Madden in when the promotion starts (I'm pretty sure it starts this Sunday), you will get $20 on a gift card for the game and a $10 off coupon to use on this year's game. While there, you should pre-order this year's game in store with a $5 down payment. When you go to pick up your game, you'll get the GCU discount, and can use your coupon and gift card when paying the remaining balance of the game.

Previous games haven't been worth the price tag of 60 and the only reason I'm getting this years version is because of BBs deal of 20 dollars for the game

I never pre order in store always online for in store pickup so curious how this works. When you preorder in store do they put your GCU info in at that time or is it done when you pickup ?
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

The pre-order goes in for the full price minus whatever you put down to reserve, 5$ minimum. Then when you pick it up your GCU knocks the 20% off of the initial price.

Talk about a hassle, trying to trade-in games at Walmart....whole process took way too long. Plus they read you crap like it's your maranda rights and you're about to be put in the slammer.

Anyway I went there because Halo: MCC (game) is only $26.89 at Walmart.com , listed at $59.99 still in the store but they obviously match their online price. Pretty good price for those who haven't grabbed it yet.

Are there multiple legal ways to obtain digital copies of games? This stuff is driving me nuts and I don't understand why the digital copy of NBA 2K games are so expensive. I go on PSN and the past versions of games are down to $19.99 for Madden, NCAAF, NHL etc, but NBA 2k14 is still $59.99.

I checked out Amazon and the physical disc copy is only $18.79 right now, and the digital code is freakin' $59.99. What the hell?

PSN's pricing has never made sense to me. Like you said, why is NBA 2K14 $60? Really at this point, any sports game that doesn't have a 16 in the title shouldn't be sold for more than $20. To me, you'd get way more potential customers if PSN priced competitively instead of just randomly assigning (at least that's how it feels) numbers to games.

Walmart is matching their online prices now? I tried to get a game a few years ago and they wouldn't match their own online price. The employees told me it was stupid, but they couldn't do it.

I got to the counter after he rang it up, I asked about the price online and showed him on my phone, then he checked himself. Hit override, put in $26.89 and I was on my way.

Didn't realize that isn't the norm? Do they not usually match their online price? Kinda bogus if so. He was obviously a gamer though as we were bs'ing a little before it.
