So I got episode 1 and 2 bought.

Would it be cheaper for me to buy episode 3, 4 and 5 on xbla or buy the cd version?

Just finished the whole thing today. Wow. There are no words to describe how engrossed I was in that game. Season 2 is a must purchase for me now.

Now I think this game is truly awesome....but on a totally different level.

I can't compare non-sports games to sports games. But for a non sports game...this is something that is rising up my all time list with a bullet.

Sports games are always judged differently for me as well.

Any non-sports game released falls into category A (aside from Mutant League games, and Football Manager). Sports games fall into category B.

Anything from category A that I rate the same as Category B is light years beyond it, in reality. So if this game is a 10, and the Show is a 10... this game is still light years beyond the show.

Which it is for me.

Have you finished the game yet A & S? Without spoiling anything, the game can't be truly judged until you've finished it. The writing is just that good. But here is my argument (and a few reasons) for why the game is better than the show:

1. The protagonists are much more interesting to me. Sure I love Rick, and his character is definitely gaining some moral depth after this past season, but Lee has more of a defined background and showed varied emotion rather than simply being upset/happy. Is Clem vs Carl really even an argument?

2. The one issue I have with Walking Dead, is that the characters (save for a select few) often make extremely stupid decisions. Again, I won't spoil anything. But in the game, I was able to avoid stupid decisions because I was put in control of the story.

3. The immersion aspect. This kind of gels with the first two, but there is certainly something to be said for the fact that I felt like it was my story. When it came to making decisions, they actually had weight to them. There was nothing black or white about the game, everything had consequences and just about everything had its rewards.

Heavy Rain was awesome. Loved that game.

So my copy just came to my doorstep.

Yea the wife and I loved Heavy Rain. I picked it up friday after work and we played and finished this weekend. I tried to convince her to give this one a try but she wants to play Heavy Rain again because we didnt get the "right" ending. Im just happy she now gets how fun video games can be other than Sonic the Hedgehog.

I'll probably will get Walking Dead soon though.

Yeah just started episode 3. The characters are strong. Really strong. And the choices are getting tough and some heart wrenching. Clem is great. Lilly is a broken woman right now, and Lee is a great lead. Plus being in control of the story is truly awesome.

Looking forward to finishing this up this week.

My bad. It was the capitalization that threw me off. The game definitely beats the show for me as well, I just haven't been able to get into the show yet.

Episode 1 is free on iOS (not sure for how long). Perfect time for me to get into this game.
