    Re: Sonic Generations (PS3/360)

I liked the stage in the new demo. I've always been a fan of Sonic Adventure though. It's one of my top 15 games. Being a first stage it was really easy though. If the difficulty gets up later in the game it should be fun.

I retried the 1st stage and still found the camera too close to enjoy.

wow this game is pure adrenaline fun!!

I never thought any sonic game would be worth my time, but this game is amazing. The controls for both classic and modern are really tight. The game feels like a roller coaster ride, especially modern sonic.

There are 18 levels, 9 classic and 9 modern and 90 challenges. Those challenges are challenging fun, and the levels are significantly different than the main game levels.

Game is challenging, fun, addictive, and has tons of replay value.

Best Sonic since the Sega Genesis era, easily.

Agreed love this game I had to buy it. I bought it over the Metal gear solid collection which I thought would never happen but, I knew this game would be more addictive and better replay value for me and its a game my girl can get into.

As for camera problems there are none for me. Of course I think most will start off slow because, of how fast paced the game really is and it is fast. Took a couple of days to adjust to the speed and get the coordination down and once you do that its all downhill from there. Not like there is a great learning curve or anything. I love the colors and the music from the mechanic levels and others made me drool of classic bring it back to the childhood sega memories.

Oh yeah...by far. This game isn't getting old anytime soon I can't put a number on how many restarts and same levels I've played over and over trying to get my time down. All it takes is to one slip up for me which happens extremely easy and that is a restart.

Between this and assassins creed I think I will be "no life'n" it up for a while.

Other sonic games have been subpar at best. Best sonic since the original would be correct IMO as well. Its that kind of a classic game. The music, the levels, and you also get to play the original 2d sega sonic once you get enough points to purchase the sega controller. Its extremely fast paced and I really get into beating my times.

              Ugh so many restarts.

Edit: For those playing the game has anyone beat green zone hill in under a minute? I find it very difficult.

                Re: Sonic Generations (PS3/360)

the game STILL hasn't got old and still playing it as much when released.

If you treat this game as a platformer like sonic1 and sonic 2 genesis, IMO, you will be disappointed in Sonic Generations because honestly, the challenge is lacking and you can pretty much avoid death at will.

Those classic games on the genesis needed much more platforming precision to stay alive, not so much this game.

Sonic Generations to me is an arcade rally. The challenge is to get the fastest times and this will make the replay value very high. So many different routes and platforming precision is needed to achieve fast times instead of to avoid death.

It's just a blast, and the 3-D levels are so polished and well done.

Hope they expand on this re-start of Sonic and in their next game include BOTH sonic "rally" and sonic "classic platforming" levels. That would be ideal.

Gamestop has this on sale today for $29.99. I'm thinking about going and pick this up. I love Sonic games.

                    This game is great.

The only thing keeping it from pure awesomeness for me is the lack of two player racing. But other than that, no complaints here.

Yes that was my gripe as well but, I think the split screen would be to small maybe for this type of game but, I'm not sure.

I mean you can always take turns but, that little kid mentality usually kicks in and you want both of you and your friend playing at the same time online or not lol.

I picked this up for my sister in law for christmas as I had nothing else to get her and my bro claimed she played this as a kid. Everything seems postive on the reviews and it was just 30$
