Assassin’s Creed Revelations for PS3 Getting Big Blu-ray Bonus

Hey there PlayStation Assassins! We have something exciting to share today: thanks to a special partnership with PlayStation and the incredible storage space offered by Blu-ray discs, we are offering a full version of the original Assassin’s Creed for free if you’re one of the first to buy Assassin’s Creed Revelations! Supplies are somewhat limited, however, so you’ll need to act quickly (pre-ordering might help ;D) in order to get a copy of the original Assassin’s Creed included on your Assassin’s Creed Revelations Blu-ray disc.

As you know, Assassin’s Creed Revelations will see Ezio follow in the footsteps of the legendary Assassin Mentor Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad on a quest to understand the true nature of what it means to be an Assassin. To prepare you for this journey, we thought it might be a good idea for you to have the game that started it all on-hand just in case you needed a quick refresher on Altaïr’s history.

    Vittoria agli Assassini!

Putting the first game in with the 4th game of the series makes no sense to me. If the first assassin's creed had come out on the last generation of consoles, then I would understand it.

Probably to let people play as Altair, seeing he'll have a decent role in AC:R.

Exactly... he is more linked to the fourth than any of them.

Am I the only one who thinks this series should've been "ninja assassins" instead? This is one of those titles where you envision something different while playing. This definitely should've been the current generations "tenchu". Ninjas in this type of environment = badass.

Ninjas in general are way more badass.

The few times Ive actually played this, I always think of ninjas, samurais, shaolin monks, etc. They should've made me lead developer on this ****. Current dev team needs to get their minds correct and realize what the fans really want. Out.

Yeah, because sales have been so poor.

I agree that there should be a genuinely, good stealthy ninja game, but I still want this series to be about Desmond and his ancestory.

With this supposedly being Ezio's last game, it opens up a bunch of possibilities. I'd like to see a game set in Victorian England, or better yet, Revolutionary War era United States.

Yeah, no. If I wanted this to be Tenchu, I'd go bother the Tenchu devs.

Not sure where I would want to see the next game, just glad that the devs have already said they are going to stay committed to areas not often visited.

I would like London as a backdrop for one assassin's Creed game, and something in Japan/China but that would be a stretch sending the ancestry out to asia when everything's been European based. Unless they follow another of the assassins guild. There were the E-mails in game about the tokyo assassin's branch going dark. That could fuel the story but I'm just really speculating.

The term assassin is derived from Hashashin, not ninja. And the term "ninja assassin" is pretty redundant and has been done by Tenchu already. No need to tread on a game that's already been done in the same genre (like all these FPS games).

Ninjas might be bad-***, but I'll take a white-robed, out-in-the-open yet hidden assassin with all sorts of tricks any day.

IGN has a big feature up on Ezio, Altair, and Desmond. Man Desmond's memories are going to be trippy to play.

Wonder if the mystery man in the Desmond clip could be Subject 16.

Nah, the tenchu devs should be the last devs you bother. Did you actually play tenchu on 360? It was an abortion. This engine is a perfect fit for a ninja game. What's this I hear about emails in game referring to assassins in Tokyo? It's coming, mark my words. It's going to be great.

Actually, real ninjas were the definition of out in the open yet hidden. And their tricks were a little dirtier to boot. Instead of wearing the stereotypical black pajamas, they'd probably dress as a peasant and cut your throat while you were walking down the street then run away. Or get a job as a cooking assistant or something and poison someone's food. And let's not forget there were a lot of kunoichi that would probably pretend to be a hooker to get close to their marks.

And that's your history lesson for today...

I'm not even going to de-rail this thread even further. I assume each new post here is an update on the game, but now we're discussing ninja's and assassin's. Should I expect someone to start talking about pirates now.
