Picking it up tomorrow. Haven't gotten SW: Clone Wars and probably won't until I can grab used.
I own all the rest. LOVE Lego games.

It's a pretty quick game to unlock everything, took me 12 hours to beat every stage, unlock every char and unlock all the red hats (hats instead of bricks).
In Harry Potter you had to find three character tokens in each level, and some were pretty well hidden. I much prefer the old system of just buying the characters in a store.

Was talking more about the first part of the post (about having to unlock everything before playing together). PotC you buy characters but it is where they randomly walk around and you have to find them.

I'm going to rent this one as soon as I'm done with LA Noire, assuming I like it. I think I'll like this one a lot more like I did the original Indy one and the Star Wars movie one because I know the Pirates movies really well. I didn't like Harry Potter because I've never seen the movies and couldn't understand what the heck was going on in the game since you get no dialogue, that's what is keeping me from the Clone Wars game even though I liked the movie Star Wars game so much.

I'm in a similar situation to you, I never watched any of the clone wars stuff and really like the Pirates movies. I liked Pirates better than Clone Wars, there was a lot of repetitive, time consuming busywork in Clone Wars. The story in Clone Wars, though, I had no trouble following.

Pirates was shorter, and shorter than I think it should have been, but there was nothing that felt tedious or unnecessary. Pirates took me 22 hours, Clone Wars took 30 hours.

Re: Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean?

We (my young son and myself) finished the game and have gone back through trying to get a lot of treasures in the free play. We haven't even seen all the movies but loved the game. It had a feel of Lego Indy 1 and the ability to use more than just two people while playing a chapter and the sheer number of unique abilities of the various characters made it a lot of fun. A lot of the boards felt unique and I think they did a good job of tying into various parts of the movies (at least the ones we've seen). I really believe this has been the best Lego game yet. My previous favourite would have been Lego Indy 1. We've also played the Star Wars and Batman but not Clone Wars or Potter yet.

First Lego game I fully played through and will be the last. The constant freezing is beyond absurd, locks up my entire PS3, had it happen most recently on the final level, at the final boss with only one heart left and now I get to replay the entire thing again. Reading around the internet seems to show that its a common theme amongst people playing this game. The game itself is alright but the freezing makes me want to send it back to Gamefly in pieces, what a waste of time playing an entire level only to have it lock up my entire PS3 right at the very end.

I've had Lego games freeze too but nothing too severe. I got the PS3 game from Gamefly as well but I can only remember two freezes. I got more with Lego Clone Wars.
