I turn and run the opposite way every time I see a tiger.. even if he's not looking in my direction.
Just conditioned that way right now.

And I would say the boat mission is almost right there with the crop mission.

Only way I way able to kill the tiger after it started chasing me through the damn jungle was to cook a grenade and lay it right in his lap. Damn things are tough

yep I just as soon run and not waste a bunch of ammo..

I used C4 on a couple things before just to see it...

Love placing C4 at edge of bridge and wait for some baddies to drive over it...

I go stealthy in this game, silenced pistol, silenced sniper but when I hear a tiger the extended mags assault rifle and flamethrower comes out on its ***.

Btw funny story, I fast traveled to a safe house for ammo, walk outside and while I'm opening the door there a bear right in front of me and I got mauled to death. Lmfao.

I think after my first playthrough (or maybe in the middle) I'll start using some mods. Probably just the no minimap and better sights to start.

Along with the weapon mod below..

Realistic Weapons Mod
•Removed auto reload for all weapons
•Realistic range for all weapons
•Increased reload time by slowing animations
•Increased recoil for all weapons - Battlefield 2 Feel
•Corrected magazine sizes (to match real life counterparts)
•Corrected fire rates (to match real life counterparts)
•More attachments (some weapons have 3 some 2) for balancing reasons

Great game (then again I loved Far Cry 2), quite difficult in the early going. 2 things bother me so far:

1. The interact button is way too touchy. By that I mean you have to be lined up perfectly to get the icon to come up for the interact button. Frustrating at best, deadly at worst. I have been killed more than once trying to get to the interact button before something could get to me.

2. Do the developers realize that Komodo dragons are an endangered species? Frigging place is crawling with them!

I am having the hardest time getting a goat skin for my holster. First time I killed a goat, I was being chased by Komodo dragons and the damned interact button wouldn't come up to let me skin the goat I had killed. Dragons eventually got me. Second time I killed a goat a jeep pulled up and I got in a firefight with soldiers. By the time the smoke cleared, I had no idea where the dead goat was. As someone else mentioned long ago, an X on the map, ala Red Dead Redemption, would help immensely.

Now I can't even locate a damned goat. But I do have about 15 Komodo dragons skins...

The thing that's amazing about Far Cry 3 is if you think of it, you can probably do it. I was waiting in some bushes to cross a road where there were two guys on patrol. So I lined them up and headshotted them both in one shot.

I also like sniping the alarm box and watching the dudes panic.

Lol, you guys talking about Tigers made me think of these:

Golden Tiger (?) had me so shook i had to jump on a roof and take it out with the bow. Thing was mauling me.

What's worst than creeping on an outpost, marking the pirates and then hearing the tiger creeping on you. "ah **** not this again"

I have the same problem skinning animals. Not a big deal, but I find I have to get in the exact right position for the popup to happen.

I had the same problem with boars too. For some reason all I'd find was pigs and took forever to find enough boars to get that stuff done...

What you kill it with? I been using grenades :/.

What i was originally doing was getting in the water with them and every once in a while when they attack there is an option to fight back via button mashing.

After a while though i found the easiest was to try and lure them to shallow water and pick them off from inside the boat with gun of choice.

I got lucky with the golden tiger...I tracked it and shot it in the chest, which made it turn its attention towards me and then charge. Two more well placed shots with the bow put it down, but man did I get a shot of adrenaline.

And I had a similar instance where I tiger was stalking me when I was trying to take over an outpost. Luckily, I never saw the tiger but I did hear it. But nine times out of ten, I've lost against a tiger so far in this game.

Is it a prerequisite to have played FC1 and 2 first, or can one jump right into FC3?

For those that played Just Cause 2, is this game similar? It seems very similar to me.

How is multiplayer?

Similar but different setting, not as over the top. They are both sandbox games and very enjoyable as a result.

The only thing i have an issue with is the audio. I cant believe its just master and music off. The music is too loud at times and takes away from what people are saying. Really not wanting to wear my headset. -.-
