First thing I did was throw that animal bait stuff to get the dogs out of the out post, I then sniped both of them at once with one shot. Next thing I hear is a freaking bear and a Kitty in the area and shooting everywhere. (I guess they got attracted to the scent as well) So I stealth kill a sniper and use the knife throw at the other. I then in sequence jumped off the building and knife killed 2 grunts on the ground with the double air assassination. (A total accident since I didnt even know they were there but oh well). I then ran behind a building to see another grunt and sniper dead ahead of me. I stealth kill the grunt and throw the knife at the other sniper. I then here the heavy machine gun and last grunt shooting at the bear and kitty. The animals were basically destroying the heavy in close quarters combat but the grunt was behind him a ways back so I went behind him, pulled the pin on his grenade and kicked him into the commotion. Boom, the bear, kitty, heavy and grunt went out in a fiery explosion that was helped by a couple of barrels. Lol. One of the most awesome moments I have had in a game in a while.

The best thing was it all happened in about 30 seconds, back to back to back. I then after the cut scene I walked away from the outpost slowly just for that added bad *** effect.
Great stories like this and many others sprinkled through this thread make you wish there was some kind of theater option like in Halo or COD LOL. Awesome story, Candyman. Just more proof of the awesomeness of FC3! This game is very much in my own Gaming Hall of Fame.

Running w/ an assualt rifle and bow/arrow. Was using a silenced Skorpion, but the one-shot kill w/ the bow is the way to go indeed.

Gonna do that mission where you have to destroy the guns before Vaas' men attacke the village.

So far I have taken down 3 outposts, done 2 radio towers, and saved the girl who was going to do that suicide pact....those damn komodos are some SOBs.
I'm tellin' ya....the bow and arrows are just too damn cool! Straight up like Rambo, bow and arrows and a blade for takedowns will get it done most of the time with outposts or almost anything involving humans
    Spoiler
    .

My only real exceptions there are the silenced sniper rifle (better range/accuracy for picking off enemy snipers especially) and a good shotgun (again, good for overland travel and surprise encounters with animals).

Does it make sense to carry around the Grenade Launcher? I'm thinking of trading it for a Shotgun.

Here's what I'm carrying right now:

      Shredder
      Bushman
      Silenced Sniper
      Grenade Launcher

Really, it's personal preference. There is no wrong loadout depending on how you wish to play.

I carried the GL around for a bit before I realized I never really needed it and REALLY missed my bow and arrow. Plus, for blowing up stuff, explosive tipped arrows work just as well for me, if not better because I can squeeze them in tighter spaces.

Yea not sure what to do... Cuz I already have 12 grenades to use... But I do like the fact the Launcher blows **** up on impact.

Am I missing something on the hunters quests where you have to use the bow? I tried the golden tiger one, and the blood komodo dragon one and both of them kicked my ***. Whats the secret?

Drugs. For the really tough fights don't be afraid to shoot up to give yourself an advantage.

Or take a look at your strategy. Try ambushing from above them or shooting them from somewhere where they'll have to run around or up and obstacle to reach you.

You can use guns to take down their health. Just make sure the final kill shot is with an arrow.

That all depends on how you play it. I put in probably 40-50 hours. But I upgraded everything, collected 50-60% of the hidden items, played a few side missions, played some poker, did a few challenges/mini games, etc...
If I had to guess at the time to take to go from the first mission to the last, and that's it, I'd say 10-15 hours start to finish.

Same for me... I hit the 41 hour mark last night and I still have to finish everything on the South Island and I'm to the Old Temples part of the Story.

I have a long way to go BUT it's so worth it!!!!
