Re: ARMA III
There is multiple single player campaigns to answer your question. Now as far as the reasons why. There is far to many to list but I'll list my favorites why.
1) It is by far the most realistic simulation of warfare. It is hard to get this across to someone who has not played it. Watching it in videos does not get this point across. Putting your hands on it is only way to understand.
2) The multiplayer landscape is incredible. HUGE battles that can take literally 8 to 10 hours real time.
This is a example of the multiplayer, people working together on the comms, the chaos, the realism encountered, all while facing pure CPU AI and complete other side is human players. Its bar none the best multiplayer on any system in my opinion.

3) Head tracking
4) Complete mission builder means endless supply of amazing missions done by the community. Wanna replay the Bin Laden take down? There is a mission for that.
5) Scope, it is one of the largest most encompassing games I have ever played.
Now, I'm talking ARMA in general, but ARMA 2 is clearly the better of the two.Last edited by Phobia; 02-04-2013, 04:38 PM.Comment

Re: ARMA III
So that tends to be the favorite mode of online. Which is incredible to play don't get me wrong it is amazing. Nothing like leaving the base with a Chinook loaded down with fellow hum soldiers heading in to attack a city. You hit the LZ and everyone disembarks there is human controlled tanks moving in, 50 human soldiers moving in on a city and the battle takes 2 to 3 hours of realistic chaos.
Now there is also small HUM coop missions that are like 4 man special ops group, you and your buddies must complete a objective.Comment

Look 23 just watch this video it shows the online multiplayer the best for you. This is a 40 man coop and you get to see the beginning and then the mission itself. They had a little lag but you get the gist of it.

Re: ARMA III
Man that's my kind of game...
Ghost Recon originally got me into online co-op because it was 16 men co-op Human vs CPU
The most fun I've had in a shooter even though it was SP was red River which I guess alot of guys didn't even bother with because it was far from the typical run and gun. Being able to strategize and flank an enemy to take a position was great!
This is looking like a similar type deal... is there any SP?Comment

It far more real than the original ghost recon but same vein. Now ARMA is just bigger and better in every way.Comment

Re: ARMA III
well since it is a military simulator engagement distances are MUCH further. Small specks in many cases. You will get in some closer fights here and there but far more of the combat is over longer distances than anything you have played before.Comment
