Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (3DS/N64)

    Hey! Listen!

Consider me stunned that we're currently 10 (almost 9) days from the re-release of arguably the best, most complete video game of all time and there isn't a thread for it!

I have kept the N64 in the thread title in case anybody wants to talk about the original version as well. I used to own it on N64, now playing it on Virtual Console for Wii. Considering picking up a 3DS for this game alone (well, and the awesome release lineup slated this year).

This game holds a special place in my gaming heart, and is just as amazing to me at 21 as it was at 8. Funniest part? I still haven't beat it. Granted, I took a few years off and restarted multiple times...but I still have no idea what happens at the end.

Also, is it just me or is it impossible to be in a bad mood listening to the Kokiri Forest theme?

This has to be arguably the best Zelda ever released.

It's one of my favorite games of all time, across all genres and platforms. And easily my favorite Zelda game.

Hands down the best game ever made in my opinion. Then they released Majora's Mask.... yeah.

Majora's Mask almost felt like a last ditch effort by N to save the N64. I just didn't like it at all.

Skyward Sword actually looks pretty good, but one of the videos I was watching it resembles Wind Waker quite a bit except Link is in the sky now.

I refuse to play Majora's Mask (though I do own it on Virtual Console as well) for 2 reasons:

            1) I don't want to taint my N64 Zelda memories.

            2) Jadusable's YouTube videos have forever scared the living crap out of me.

Paid my copy off yesterday! Super excited. And dude, the ending is so good, you damn well better beat it this time.

I'll be one nostalgic 28 yr old playing this, lol.

This is the one game that I would love to have, just can't see myself buying a 3DS.

I want this game so bad I'm considering buying it before I get the system. LOL...I would have "Thanked" your post if I could, I'm excited to finally see what happens after 13 years of wondering.

I remember being all excited as a 8 year old to play it, only to be HEAVILY let down. Worst game in the series in my opinion.

Fired up for Ocarina in 3d. Preordered on Amazon and being shipped to me next Friday. Its like once a decade gamers in Europe get something first so I'm happy it is this.

It wasn't actually possible to get stuck in that hellhole, was it? I remember thinking I was stuck but eventually found my way through.

Spoiler tag if you must, since there are going to be people in here who haven't played it yet (though I'm sure most have at least heard of the Water Temple's infamy by now).

According to a preview I read the bottom screen has inventory selection and the switching of items that caused so many problems in the Water Temple has been fixed. I think that is what you are referring too? I never played through all of the original.

I hope that their is a bundle of a 3ds and OoT coming. I want both for a decent price.
