Borderlands 2 Golden Keys Incoming

This weekend, we'll be handing out SHiFT codes that can be redeemed for a Golden Key in Borderlands 2 on the Borderlands Facebook and Gearbox Software Twitter!

We'll be posting five sets of codes across 24 hours, specifically:

Friday, October 26 - 6PM CT (What time is that for me?)
Friday, October 26 - 11PM CT (What time is that for me?)
Saturday, October 27 - 5AM CT (What time is that for me?)
Saturday, October 27 - 11AM CT (What time is that for me?)
Saturday, October 27 - 3PM CT (What time is that for me?)

Each code will be active for three hours from its initial posting and will be usable once per account.

Important Notice for Xbox 360 Players

Recently a few users have begun violating the Xbox Live Code of Conduct by using an external application to maliciously disrupt the experience and sabotage characters of legitimate Borderlands 2 players on Xbox 360. Fortunately it’s easy to avoid this scenario.

After extensive internal testing, an update to prevent this disruption has been submitted to Microsoft and will be released as soon as possible. Until then, concerned Xbox 360 players of Borderlands 2 should consider playing online with trusted individuals in non-public sessions. This does not affect players on PC or PlayStation 3.

We also advise that before ceasing play, users always select "Save and Quit" from within the pause menu while their character is alive. If after the death of their character players find themselves at the main menu of Borderlands 2 instead of respawning in-game, be sure to immediately select "Continue" to resume playing as that character.

We ask that players report any suspicious behavior in Borderlands 2 to [email protected] and provide as much details and documentation of their disrupted experience as possible to assist us in our investigation.

Go around the other way (from the other side of the church, you can climb the rocks) and quickly farm those two guys for their drops at the same time.

I farmed Mobley and Gettle (the Lyuda dropped, level 48 though, but no Varuc) starting from the Friendship Gulag gate for 15-20 tries tonight and she didn't spawn once.

Don't forget to enter the new shift codes for a new, Halloween flavored, skin. Zer0's "Hornet's Nest" looks decent. The codes themselves are good until this Sunday.

Couple of questions for those in the know:
Once I finish the last story mission, can I still keep playing in my first play-through, i.e. the optional missions? I am at level 34 with Zer0 and I simply cannot finish the Demon Hunter mission in Lynchwood playing solo. Using corrosive weapons but just can't beat her. Would like to level up some more and go back.

Also, if you start a 2nd play through with the same character, can you still go back to your first game later for missions and DLC? You could in the original Borderlands.

And finally, if you can do the above (go back to your first game after starting a 2nd play through), does the experience and equipment you have gained on the 2nd play through go with you back into the first game or does it stay separate?

You can go back to all your side missions after you complete the final story mission.

You can also switch back and forth from Normal and Vault Hunter Mode

• When you boot up the game, just hit triangle to load up your character - it'll pop up a text asking you if you'd like to continue in Normal or TVHM.

You keep ALL your equipment when starting your second playthrough (with that character) in Vault Hunter Mode.

Yes, all gear, levels, etc stay with you no matter what.
