I am thinking about starting over with the soldier. The turret seems like it would be extremely handy.YNWAComment

I think I am going too. It's just a shame because the Dam mission is one of the few in the game I genuinely hate.YNWAComment

Re: Borderlands 2
First character I started was the assassin. In the first game, I leveled up to max level with Brick (big tank / melee focused special), so I wanted something different in BL2, particularly liked the sniper skill tree with Zero.
So I started with him, my good friend who plays started off with the Commando, and off we went. We have now gone through the story on Normal mode, True Vault Hunter Mode, and most of the Tiny Tina DLC in TVHM. My assassin is level 51 now and frankly, I'm pretty bored with him. I see my buddy's commando throw out that turret that just wrecks everything, and get jealous, as my assassin's special ability is mainly used when I go to revive the commando. I think at some point I'll re-spec him and try some other methods of play to see if it will revive my interest in him. It got to the point that I really started to feel like I was burning out on the game.
Then... I started playing other classes, trying to level them up and experience the different play styles and skill trees. I started off using the other classes just to get their specific trophies, so I initially didn't level up the commando or siren past level 10 (because by that point, I'd gotten their trophies). I leveled the Gunzerker up to 25, as that was the necessary level to get his trophy. Interest started going back up and "burnout" feeling started to subside.
Then went back to the commando - who is now at level 40.And now, I'm hooked again. The idea is to level him up high enough that my buddy and I can dive back into the high-level stuff again, just with a character I enjoy more. When he and I aren't playing, I've gone back and started playing the siren again as well, who is now up to level 15. I also purchased the Psycho character DLC. Really - moving away from the assassin / sniper build really refreshed the game for me, but I think it's more because I'm not just playing one play style for hours on end, as I initially did with him - but varying it between the different characters.
The game just has so much to offer. Any of you that play, I definitely am in need of other players to run with, as my experiences with randoms has been terrible (to the point that I only sign on and play if my buddy is on.) I've got a level 40 commando, 15 siren, 25 gunzerker, 10 psycho. Also have a 51 assassin, but honestly probably won't go back to him for a while. PSN name is the same as my OS user name. Looking for people who play as a team, don't just go running off doing their own thing, and (most importantly) no loot ninjas.
(PS - long post, I know. Sorry about that - my renewed interest in the game is to blame.)

Re: Borderlands 2
Branching off a little bit - what is your personal favorite class? Not necessarily "most powerful" or "best", just the one you have the most fun with.
To this point, just based on how far I've played each character and how much I've enjoyed using each one:
1 - Commando
2 - Siren
3 - Psycho
4 - Gunzerker
5 - Assassin (sniper build)
I haven't purchased / played the mechromancer yet, but figure I probably will do so at some point.Comment

Re: Borderlands 2
I've only got one save and it's a Gunzerker.
It's not terrible, but my special skill is almost useless. Woo two guns. I'd rather have been a Commando with that sweet turret.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Borderlands 2
I found myself a bit "blah" with the Gunzerker as well. I guess maybe if you can get some good guns to dual wield, it could be fun. I don't have any great ones yet with him (through level 25). I think the appeal of him is if you spec him right, you can be dual wielding nearly constantly, and be nearly invincible to damage. But I'm not far enough along with him yet.Comment
