Guys I just rented one of the best PS2 squad based tactical games I've ever played....FREEDOM FIGHTERS!!
I'm opening this thread So Guys can share their thouhgts on the game as well as their Strategies. Hopefully more of you guys will check This Game out.
What has happened in Freedom Fighters is a "what-if" scenario where Soviet Forces have taken over New York City.
You start off as a plumber who somehow gets swept into everything. You get recruited by a small band of rebels who are fighting against the Soviet oppression.
You start off alone but you have a "Charisma Meter". You have to accomplish some solo tasks to build up your charisma. As you do so, you're more able to recruit more rebels who you will command. You can recruit up to 12 soldiers and they will accompany you on your missions.
The graphics and sound are off the hook! The music is tight and the voice acting is solid.
Great Game so far. The only thing I'm having issues with is the aiming but I can tell its just matter of time before it becomes second nature. The enemy AI is the tighest I've ever seen as is the AI of your squad members. The GunFights border epic! Have you ever seen BLACK HAWK DOWN???...thats how FREEDOM FIGHTERS plays!!
If you guys are into squad based combat and/or Love Urban Warfare Games ..you OWE it to yourself to rent this game. It simply DOES NOT get any better than FReedom Fighters!!
