Its a completely different style game from what they had on Sega. It was closer to Metroid/Castevania SoTN than the action titles (which were also awesome).

Yeah, I'm stoked I got that with it. One of those games I rented in the day and forgot all about until now.

            That game is incredibly difficult.

I've made it to Red Skull's space base once, but never gotten past that.

Some parts in that game, there are just so many enemies on screen that you have no chance unless you're playing the 4-player arcade version.

SNES and Genesis versions were only 2-player, unfortunately.

Hah, that's awesome. Aside from the price tag, it's like that post was hijacked directly out of the year 1992. You've inspired me to create a Christmas list this year and put sUpeRninTenDO at the top.

$60? How'd you manage that deal? That's crazy good.

Just a guy on CL. I saw the ad a week before and assumed the guy wanted 60 for each thing, like 60 for the system, 60 for the games. However, after he re posted it, I took what I thought was a shot in the dark and called him.

He wouldn't tell me how much he got it all for, so I'm assuming he got it dirt cheap. I even told him I'd still pay for it, even if he paid $1, because I genuinely wanted to know, but no dice lol.

So I assume he won a storage locker, maybe found it at goodwill, or got lucky at a yard sale.

                        Re: NES/SNES Gaming Thread

Anyone ever get static on screen from time to time? My SNES has been doing this recently. It is hooked up to my hdtv with the RF cable, but that's how I have my NES also and have had no such problems with that.

The RF connection is probably coming loose.

                          Use AV cables instead.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better sound and image quality.

I know, they look way better. I have on old RCA/S-video SNES cable somewhere, but can't find it.

The thing is the same RF cable works on my NES fine, so I'm hoping it's not the connection inside the SNES itself. Maybe I should try a new AC adapter first and see if that changes anything.

I know this is a NES/SNES thread but wanted to chime in that the past 2-3 days I've been more relaxed and "stress free" since firing back up the Gamecube. I dusted off my games and console and have been "relaxing" since.
So far I've put some good time in on SM Sunshine, Paper Mario 1000 year Door, Animal Crossing and Legend of Zelda (Collector Disk and playing the original game). I could just hook up the NES and play it but no biggie.
Tonight I'll throw in some Wind Waker also.
