I picked up the game because I like Spider-man and so do my kids. I also have no Spider-man 2 bias (is that the one where all the heroes play poker at some point?)

Plenty of side quest and collectables. I think I read there is like 700 comics to collect.. The side missions are more along the lines helping sick people, helping cops fight bad guys and breaking into oscorp labs for more tech upgrades.. They can get a little respective..

I beat the game in a weekend so maybe it's a better rental than buy. If money is the issue.

I don't know if you played Spider-Man 2, but if you did, would you say this is basically a 360/PS3 version of that game? That's kind of what it sounds like and looks like to me, which is a pretty good thing.

Money isn't an issue for me, but I do want my money's worth out of this lol. There's pretty much no rental stores left in my area so it's not like I can just rent it for a few days and see how I like it.

I don't know what game that is but it's definitely not Spider-Man 2.

          This was Spider-Man 2:

God, that video brings back so many memories. And I can't even lie, I would sometimes play that "Hero" song while I played it.

              I never played Spider-Man 2 so I can't do that comparison.

I will say this I bought it Friday night and beat it this morning and I enjoyed it never once did I think I didn't get my money's worth or that this game wasn't worth the $65..

I did a few side missions still have plenty left to do.even after the fact I beat the game you still can free roam the city and do all your side quest., there a few side quest I did which where really cool but I'm not gonna get into cause I don't want to spoil the game for u.

Oh, that one. I liked those first two Spider-Man games on Dreamcast/PS1/N64.

I still wish one of these days we could get a Spider-Man game on the level of Batman: Arkham City, or at least somewhat close to that.

                  Thanks for answering my questions.

The game doesn't sound as bad as I thought it was going to be initially. I'm tempted to buy it and I probably will to be honest. I'm just going to at least wait until after I see the movie because the IGN review says the game spoils some of what happens since it's essentially an epilogue to the movie.

The dev. had a lot more leeway with Shattered Dimensions. I think it would have been fun to see a "real world" take on someone like Deadpool or adding an encounter with someone like Wolverine.

I would like to see some future DLC with various Marvel movieverse situations: what was SM doing during the invasion of the Avengers?

                          Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I think the game is a lot of fun. It's an open world Spiderman game, graphics are top notch, and it plays well. Sure there are little quirks, like web swinging off clouds, but looking past that, it's fine. The web swinging doesn't really bother me, but when I hear people say "that's not realistic", I think we have to step back for a minute and realize, we're playing a videogame as Spiderman.... okay, are we back to reality yet?

I'm using the Spiderman 1-3 movie suit, as I'm just not a huge fan of the new suit, could change when I see the movie.

The game has movie spoilers galore though, so if you're worried about having the movie spoiled for you, you may want to wait till next week to pick it up.

Some of the dialogue is outstanding. Two lines really stuck with me just in the first chapter that had myself and my son laughing. Especially the end of chapter 1, make sure you pay attention to what's said.

I redboxed it yesterday due to some of you guys's impressions saying it probably isn't a $60 game. Thus far I'm enjoying it. The gameplay and controls and combat are pretty similar to the Batman games, but not as fluid or tight imo. And I wouldn't say the graphics are top notch either, they don't really compare to Arkham City. But they're okay.

I found the 2012 Scarlet Spider. It's in the center of the park where the cars go through a tunnel. On the wall right before the tunnel.

It was there when I started. I just looked up how people found it or I may have by accident and seems it's attached to the DLC (I have Stan Lee DLC).

Here is a pic of it.
