Re: South Park: The Stick of Truth
Just finished it. Enjoyed it for the most part. Only negative for me was I thought most of the mini-game/tutorial parts were done poorly. I failed a couple of those things multiple times and they were frustrating because it doesn't tell you what you were doing wrong. All the times you learn fart magic, the stuff they have you do in the tutorial doesn't actually have to be done when you use it in game.
I thought the ending was really well done and it seems like I've taken care of all of the quests. Missing some friends and Chinpokomon but I'm not going to go back and find them.
I agree with ubernoob though, that having the Jew and Butters is a destructive force that runs through most enemies on 1 turn. Also had good success with Kyle, but thought Stan was the weakest of the buddies.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: South Park: The Stick of Truth
Just beat it earlier today as well. I loved it, though I would agree with Sandman on the tutorial stuff and the (don't click this spoiler unless you've been through the "makeover" missionSpoilerstupid abortion mini-game with Randy.
The mage was awesome, especially once you upgrade the "Lightning Volt," "Funnel of Frost," and the "Pyre Ball" abilities.
I finished all the quests, but I'm missing one Chinpokomon (I'll give you one guess as to which one, and don't tell me where it is). Not sure how many friends I'm missing.
The story was excellent. The entire time it really does feel like one giant South Park episode and that's something that pretty much every licensed game struggles with. Canada maintained its top joke status with me, but a ton of them are memorable. I can't lie though, I'm actually surprised that this managed to receive just a Mature rating at some parts.
Does anyone feel like a big part of the delay was so they could get their last season of the show out? I feel like it did just to explain the Kenny being a princess thing a bit.
I'd give it a 9.5 and I think it will easily hang around for my GOTY nominee come December. Well worth the wait.
I think Butters, Cartman and Kyle are on another level from the other 3 buddies personally. The mage definitely works well with all 3. Jimmy is beneficial to the mage for the PP recovery you get with his special power, but other than that, not all that great. Stan hits hard, but so does Butters and Butters comes with better abilities. That's the main problem with Stan for me. Kenny stopped being effective with me pretty early. I'd say, somewhat begrudgingly, that Kyle was my favorite buddy.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

South Park: The Stick of Truth
If it's not going to spoil anything, does it matter if you...
Spoilerchoose Kyle or Cartman's group? I chose Kyle and went into the school and Butters is throwing flaming bags of dog poop on me. I saw Cartman can be a teammate, but I've yet to have thy happen.Last edited by Brandwin; 03-09-2014, 08:27 PM.Comment

Re: South Park: The Stick of Truth
I decided to put the Al Gore quests on the backburner Now that i'm level 12, and doing the Unfriend Al Gore quest it's quite difficult because he comes in with 10000 health. With that and the SS, getting my *** kicked. Any suggestions? I went with Thief."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Use backstab, that's what I did. Stack that bleeding damage, it really helps take him down. I don't remember everything I did when I fought him or what level I was, I just know bleeding damage really made it easier.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

If 10,000 is a challenge for you at lvl 12, you need to upgrade your weapons.Comment

Re: South Park: The Stick of Truth
That was the fight I had most trouble with the whole game. Enemies scale too, so he won't get easier if you level up. Best thing is to keep using your AoE spells and to try and get as much bleed/burn damage on Gore to keep draining his health. I found using speed potions early on helped as you get 2 attacks. I say use them early on because later you will likely be healing.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
