Picci, have you seen the photo mode in Second Son? It basically lets you pause at any moment during gameplay and change camera settings on the fly to capture shots.

No, didn't get Second Son. However, your description explains it well.

Just thinking about how new comers will have the fun of enjoying this game for the 1st time had me thinking about what I missed and looking forward to playing. For me, I didn't experience the banter between Joel and Ellie. This time, I want to engage in more conversation than I previously did between the two of them. I didn't realize until later in the game how much dialogue I was missing between them. Also, I'll be using the bow and arrow more this time too!

Think I might have to pick up remastered version. I miss some of that multiplayer.

As others stated the multiplayer was off the chain especially with a good group who would communicate. Had some fun games with Jenkins and owl and a couple more os'ers here and there. Now with Added maps, guns and who knows what else : ya I think I may have to get back to it!

The Last of Us Remastered: Photo Mode Detailed

We made a slew of cool additions to The Last of Us Remastered to create the definitive The Last of Us game, but one of the features we’re most excited about is Photo Mode. After all, what’s a beautiful post pandemic landscape if you can’t share some good pictures of it?

Photo Mode is activated through the pause screen. You can activate it by simply tapping L3 to freeze the action in-game as long you aren’t in a cutscene. For a clear description of how it works, check out a tutorial from Jeff Negus, our in-house editor and videographer:

Camera control, field of view, and depth of field adjustments will help you frame the perfect shot. Aesthetically, you can add one of ten different color filters and adjust its intensity. You can choose to give your photo a vignette or even select from a selection of eleven different frames. If you like the look of film grain, you can add that as well. There are a ton of options for you to explore.

Photo Mode arrives in Patch 1.01 for The Last of Us Remastered. It will only be available in this PS4 edition of the game. Patch 1.01 will be rolled out globally by the time you get your hands on the game July 29th.

I only got through about 30% of the game initially before I had to go on a six month gaming hiatus. Since this news, I'm thinking of holding off playing at all until I get a PS4 and this version of the game.

So if I'm still a "first-timer" keeping this in mind, then heck yes I'm still on board! But given what I've gone through, I'd do anything to repeat the first ten or so minutes of the game again for the first time.

I honestly think Photo Mode alone is going to make the game worth replaying.

And since EB Games is having a trade-in deal where you can trade in the PS3 version and get the PS4 version for $25, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be jumping back in. I wasn't planning on it, but with that deal, why the hell not?

There is a new difficulty called Grounded. Supposed to be harder than survivor. Not sure if that is because the AI is more difficult or that there are fewer checkpoints.

Just paid this off in full today. Looking forward to playing it for a second time. But I think I'm looking forward to the MP side of things more than anything. The MP was addicting and fun.

On the subject of difficulties, how many are there and what do you guys feel the best one would be to start on for someone who hasn't played the game before?

Probably going to go right up to release day finding out whether or not I can get that Gamestop deal, but whether it's on PS3 or PS4, I WILL be playing this for the first time on Tuesday.
