    Can someone explain the auto-save glitch?

    That's what I don't like about some of these games now... trying to determine when something saves and what is saved really is extremely discrete.

    I remember when I rented Half-Life for PS2 way back in the day, I went through like ten levels or whatever, then press Pause. There are two options: save and quick-save. I was in a rush, so I chose quick-save. Didn't realize that was just so I could reload a checkpoint, but it had no bearing on your progress off the memory card. I lost everything.

    Also speaking of which, it's tough to determine checkpoints in games (or when they should be). I'm still in Tomb Raider, and there are points that I can't pass for a while, and every single time I die I feel like it puts me further back than it should, so I have to repeat an entire section again.

    Anyway, if someone can clarify the glitch, that would be awesome.

        Yeah, I don't know what the auto save glitch is, so someone who has expeirenced it, please explain.

        I got auto save every so often, but I also do manual saves and have different save files, so I am not sure what the issue is.

        Did you guys play and it never auto saved and you thought it was?

            The auto save glitch is this..

            The game goes to auto save then all it says it auto saving please wait.. and when you try to pause it just popps up that message in a grey box. You have to reset the system. If you pause and it saves auto saved a few seconds ago. You're fine. Just you get the glitch if you pause and tou see the grey box not disappear after a minute or so. Doesn't corrupt the save tho just gotta restart. Its recommended to check pause menu and save every so often.

                Got this from the Naughty Dog forums........

                I've been playing Last of Us for the past few hours and I decided to take a break, I pressed start and was waiting for Autosave to finish but it was'nt. It said ' AUTOSAVING, PLEASE WAIT ' . I waited for about 10 minutes

                The Save, Load and Quit options are not available while it's "attempting" to save.
                I had no choice but to quit to the XMB or turn the console off. Quitting to the XMB caused the console to restart anyway.

                This glitch is on physical and digital version sof the game.

                As well as this........

                IF YOU ARE PLAYING : Regularly check the pause menu, if you see it's stuck on "Autosaving, Please Wait", leave it for 10 minutes just in case it works, then turn of your console and hope for the best

                PixelOrange on reddit said ' Apparently, the game does save even with this bug. I found a site where the people were saying that the time stamps were all screwed up. If you go to "Load Game" instead of "Continue", you'll be able to find and select the correct save point. '

                What PixelOrange said did'nt work for me but it may work for others.

                        Wow. An epic story this is gonna be. Just the opening sequence can be..just wow. Anyways not even out of the opening and I got the glitch. Ugh. Hope this gets fixed asap.
