I bet this game is going to be awesome. I think this is Naughty Dogs attempt to make more games. Personally, it's awesome. I just hope it's not ''just'' like Uncharted. I like Uncharted, but I hope they do something a little different gameplay wise. I am excited for this game though. I saw somewhere the release date is the first week in December if it hasn't been posted yet.

        Game Informer March Cover Reveal

Ever since its debut video in December, The Last of Us has shot to the top of many gamers' most anticipated upcoming games. The trailer ran on in-game assets and the engine, but it didn't show an actual part from the final game. We visited Naughty Dog's studio to see a full segment of The Last of Us played live, talked to the team members about their inspiration, and landed a ton of details you won't find anywhere else.

        ...

Exclusive First In-Game Screenshots Of The Last Of Us

The developers stress that The Last of Us is not one long escort mission. Although you won't control Ellie in the game, her AI is one of the team's primary areas of focus. In our demo she always managed to keep up, yet stay out of the way. She didn't seem to need any babysitting at all.

Most post-apocalyptic worlds are bleak and gray. Naughty Dog utilizes natural growth to spice up the color palette and add a sense of the abnormal. Notice the yellow bridge in the background? Yep, this is Pittsburgh.

Combat includes both gunplay and melee attacks. Weapons will break after repeated use, so you'll have to scavenge around for new items frequently.

Naughty Dog is incredible; I honestly would have been more surprised had the screens NOT looked that good.

              This game will be awesome.

                    Definitely.
Looks like my kind of game.
I love the idea of a "gotta get to here" survival game.

The game looks like a terrible copy and paste from uncharted. Graphics look poopy and the gameplay subpar.....

The Story And Environments Of The Last Of Us

With the release of Uncharted 3 behind them, the next creation to leave the hallowed halls of Naughty Dog is an original game called The Last of Us. The team at the Santa Monica-based studio has spent the last two years creating an entirely new world. The game is a post-apocalyptic tale about survival, but the team at Naughty Dog hopes that the journey of the main characters and the green environments will help them stand apart from anything you've seen before. The game director Bruce Straley and creative director Neil Druckmann are putting a heavy emphasis on the story, and now is your chance to learn how that story begins. Watch the video below to hear about the early portions of the game and what kind of environments Joel and Ellie will be exploring as they strike out on their adventure. The creative team also addresses the idea of a potential sequel to this story.

Honestly, between this and The Show, I'm thinking of buying a PS3.
Ebgames in Canada has a deal right now where you can get $25 credit towards a console if you trade in a game worth $8 or more. You can use more than one game too.
I have 3 or 4 games I could trade in towards a refurbished 120GB PS3 Slim. It would cost me about $50.
I might bite. This game looks too freakin' good to pass up.

If you're not big on Xbox Live, then it's definitely worth it. I got rid of my 360 for a PS3 last March and have never regretted it since. I couldn't be happier with my PS3.
