It just hit me that THQ was the company that was putting out that South Park game. Hopefully it still comes out next year.

Just to pile it on they're getting sued now because of UFC 3...

Chris Escobedo, owner of Elite Tattoo of Phoenix, Ariz., says THQ stole his artwork when it recreated a tattoo of a lion on MMA fighter Carlos Condit in UFC Undisputed 3 (that's him and the ink, above at left). Escobedo owns that design, and THQ never got permission to use it. A news release by Escobedo didn't specify the amount he was seeking.

If this sounds ridiculous, remember that the folks who made The Hangover 2 got into some hot water with the guy who designed Mike Tyson's distinctive face tattoo (a character got the same tattoo in the flick.) While both sides settled, it appeared likely that the artist would have prevailed in that case. So this is not something THQ can ignore.

THQ has turned Saints Row into ****! Used to be a diehard fan thanks to SR1 innovative MP that had me playing it for 4+ years. Saints Row isnt even worth buying IMO.

You are pretty much alone with that. The first one was fun but it was trying too hard to be like GTA. Once they found their own voice and style, the game got much better.

Lol im not talking about the single player from SR1. Was talking about online. I thought SR2 single player was good. THQ made SR3 for children. Way too over the top.

I concur. As I did like the first one, I didn't enjoy it as much as 2 & 3. Starting with SR2, they showed that they weren't just a carbon copy of GTA: San Andreas, but their own game.

I wouldn't say SR3 was made for children, more like made for easily amused people. Volition has taken the series in an excessively juvenile direction. I'm not really liking it at this point. I feel SR2 provided a better balance of ridiculous moments while still being grounded in reality. SR3 is just ridiculous.

THQ is on the edge of foreclosure. But the publisher today announced a forbearance deal with Wells Fargo which gives the company until January 15, 2013 to secure financing alternatives with an unidentified sponsor.

The Saints Row: The Third and Darksiders II publisher indicated it was pursuing alternative options when it announced consultation with a private equity broker and withdrew financial guidance earlier this month.

“We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Wells Fargo. This agreement enables us to continue focusing on bringing our games in development to market,” THQ CEO Brian Farrell said in a statement. “Meanwhile, we are evaluating financial alternatives that will transition the company into its next phase.”

The release warns the potential sponsorship may not come to fruition, and if it does, it may bring about "significant and material dilution to shareholders." THQ also announced the departure of its chief financial officer Paul Pucino in the release.

The last time I bought a THQ game, the WWE was still called the WWF (No Mercy on the N64).

Definitely won't miss these guys.

Not all bad games as they have some quality/good ones such as Company of Heroes, Dark Siders series, Saints Row Series. Not sure why they are in such bad straights honestly.

TBH guys saints row lost a ton of die hard fans like myself. A major reason is they took out the multiplayer. U guys might think its not a lot of people, but to this day u can go on saints row 1 & play ranked matches. A game that came out in o6. SRTT doesnt have any replay value
