I agree. Two years between titles is good. And yeah sports titles should do the same thing. It should be Treyarch since they did the first Black Ops game.

Well its about time everyone returns to BLOPS. And Zombies is a big aspect, while we don't play it, I know a lot of people (especially girls) that love playing that mode.

One of best deversions in any Video game. The easter eggs have got a little to complex for me to fool with in the last couple map packs but still as a "game within the game" it adds a ton a value and variety for a lot of gamers.
I also could never get into the zombies. Most of my friends did, but I hated the fact how ammo was scarce. It drove me crazy and I refursed to play it.

That is one apsect that I say MW3 did better with its survival mode. It would have been nice if the zombie mode had the same ideas.

Other than that black ops is much better than MW3.

If you get 4 guys, Zombies is pretty fun. I can't lie. Good way to kill some time.

I agree though, I hope to see a cross breed between survival mode and zombies as an option for people. That would be awesome.

Zombies pretty much required friends... otherwise alone or with randoms was just boring...

As someone who traded in MW3 a month after release (what the hell happened, IW?) and went back to Blops, this game will be a day one buy for me. Love how Treyarch took a chance with the customization of your character/guns/emblems etc. MW3 was an unbelievable step back for the COD series. We'll look back at MW3 one day as the beginning of the end of IW's "golden touch". They bombed with that game.

The maps in Blops are fantastic. Even moreso when you go from MW3 to it. Everything about Blops screams quality. Looking forward to it.

On a side note, I thought I read somewhere that this game will be called COD:Iron War...

Maybe Treyarch wants to ride the Black Ops name for as long as they could. It is the game that got them some love. WAW wasn't that popular to the COD fans.

IW keeps riding the MW tag. COD4 was the beginning of MW and now they are up to MW3. Unfortunately it keeps getting worst with them.

Hopefully Treyarch will do the opposite and keep improving, and me personally I really feel they are going to come through big time.

                  I really can't wait

Actually that would be when the founders were fired and took half the company with them to EA. What is left now is not IW.

It's the closest era they can get to without entering a "Modern Setting", you'd have internal battles then on who's making the best Modern Warfare game... I don't even wanna know how they'd pull of a futuristic game. The weakest weapon could be a noob tube...

I don't have a problem with at LEAST 2 years in between, but how do we know the development cycle is 2 years? Just because they announced it will be released in 2012 doesn't mean they've been working on it since 2010. I would want to know when they started devloping it because COD games have been known for yearly development cycles like most sports games.

And i agree with you on sports games, i've said the same thing.

I think part of the problem is too many people want different things. You have a lot of people picking the games apart right when they first come out... nerf this gun, fix the spawns, I found a glitch, etc. I'm not saying these people aren't right, but the developers fixing all this stuff just takes away time from developing the next game. Then throw in all the map packs and extra games modes they work on, it's just even more time taken away.

On the flip side, if they simply abandoned a game after releasing it people would be in an uproar, although maybe it would make the game 2 years down the road more polished? Who knows... they are a company just like anywhere else in the world with a certain amount of resources, so we can only hope they strike the right balance.

I for one think they are at least heading in the right direction... people seem to forget how many glitches MW2 had and how long it took them to fix them. Javelin glitch, carepackage glitch, infected lobbies... that game was practically unplayable for good chunks during the first 3 months of release. I think the reason I enjoyed black ops so much was because I didn't get it until x-mas due to having a new baby in the house. I thought getting a late start would hurt me, but honestly they ironed out all the connection & spawn issues by then so I ended up with a great experience. Anyway, it will be interested... I for one am really looking forward to Black Ops 2!!!

I think the problem really lays with the programmers and not really thinking things through properly.

Gamers want the fast paced fun , but they also want a nice balance of sim play in there.

Proficencies was a bad idea. Why would you remove kick to a weapon. I know we have the choice not to use it, but it makes no sense to when eveyone is using it. Having certain types of proficencies takes away the skill from the player on learning how to use the gun properly. It removes the challenge.

We already have perks, so why now add perks for the guns? That is what proficencies pretty much are. I can see the simple things like 2 attachments, ext mags, but not kick and flinch , or focus. That should be on the players skills alone.

This is why many feel with MW3 they did everything they could to make the sucky players better.

Lets not talk about the damn death streaks. OMG another horrible idea. Now if they only added to the death streaks juiced and revenge. Than thats fine, but the other 4 are BS.

Since COD4 players have complained about last stand and martyrdom, but they continue to find a way to keep it in the game. I mean comon now last stand with your primary weapon, or C4???? Are you kidding me, and not only that you get the assist when someone else kills him. Where in Black ops you got the kill for putting him into last stand, and lets not forget in black ops he was in last stand with a pistol.

The striker in Black ops was just that a striker. On MW3 it is ridiculous when you level that gun up and add damamge to it. Its a tank on legs

Then they decided to make lag compensation, which made things much worst. They also decided to make maps smaller for more faster and intense battle, but they should have realized this would make spawn points very difficult.

All the gripes gamers have on this game. Come from the programmers not really thinking things through.

Its not really about gamers wanting different things. We are all complaining about the samethings in this case.
