Well since the patch I've had a few more disconnects and have seen lag for the first time...BUT, I"m playing way better. Don't know if it's in my head or what but the game seems easier.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
i just got the game several hours ago, played the campaign a little bit, saw potential in the first strike force mission but i didnt get what the objective was so i just tried to kill everything and i hear your units suck so maybe i should have been trying to defend the objective myself, but besides that woods is even better as an old man.my gamestop had extra copies of a nuketown edition, which is sweet since i was ready to shell out an extra 20 for the hardnened edition just for nuketown. multiplayer is pretty good, i have add so i play pretty agressive fast paced matches. my k/d is at 1.07 and i just want it above 1 considering my play style.my only game where i am above average is black ops and my k/d in MW2 if i didnt mess around so much with knife only matches and the such.i have noticed a lot of lag, the occasional 15 bullet lag but usually 5-10 bullet lag.highest scorestreak i think might have been somewhere between 1000-1300.i pretty much accidently ran right into a camper ever couple minutes with my playstyle, so to get score streaks its usually in enemy territory fighting 2 at a time with another 2 showing up before i can reload.dont think too many people take advantage of penetration since its been easy for me to reload behind light cover without getting killed.any suggestions for long game modes, they seem to go by to quick, and i have yet to get to 200 points in hardpoint before the timelimit.does anyone else have this problem.Last edited by killerx2; 11-21-2012, 09:06 PM.i tried not touching anything when i was younger and ended up pissing all over myself.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
I don't know whether my Cod skills are diminishing, or I just haven't learned the Maps, this game's style yet, but I'm struggling to do well in this game. I was a 2+ K/D player, playing run/gun in Mw3, Blops 1. Yet I'm just barely going positive in most Blops 2 matches, with even some Negative games sprinkled in. Yikes. Seems like sometimes you just get a string of bad luck with Enemy killstreaks killing you, over and over again. (Think I need to unlock Cold Blooded)
I agree that the maps seem to be really cramped, tight. Pulled out of Mw3 almost. I mean I like the settings, and locale and the maps are visually pleasing but I'm just not feeling how they flow in regards to traffic patterns, and hotspots etc.. Also I agree with whoever said it feels like the same maps come up for each personal rotation over and over again. For me I keep getting Carrier, Hijacked, Drone, Raid (actually like this one) or Overflow. There's 2 maps I have yet to even play on.
Going to try and put some more time into this before I come to a final conclusion, but so far I'm finding it unspectacular. I love that they took out Deathstreaks, however I'm not really enjoying this game as much as I enjoyed Mw2, and the Original Black Ops. Maybe the Call of Duty series is just getting stale for me?Minnesota Vikings

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
I played a match earlier today that I had a huge connection advantage. It was nice for a change but I felt cheap too. Guys would come up behind me and try to knife me and I could turn around and shoot them dead. I had 3 guardians up at the same time lol.
Normally I'm getting the opposite connection and I gotta play flawless just to go 10-8 in a match.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
i like the fast paced maps, but they did over do it but only a tad bit imo. the problem is the lag is killing those encounters, the smallest lag makes a huge difference in a fast paced match where you can find yourself fighting off 2-3 enemies with another 2 around the corner.so far for me i've been on both sides of the lag about 50/50 so it isnt killing the game for me, but i only got the game today so i can't make a final decision on that.i tried not touching anything when i was younger and ended up pissing all over myself.Comment

For every small close quarter map, like a Scrapyard, Skidrow, Firing Range, Summit. They had some decent large maps like Wasteland, Afghan, Estate, Array, Villa that were large maps in size, but played smoothly because of the hotspots. Also they both had some perfect medium sized maps like Favela, Invasion, WMD, Havana that were not too big that you could always get in the action quick but also had a mix of close quarter alleyways for SMGs and Shotguns, and rooftop longer range line of sight battles for ARs, Snipers.
Seems like in the more recent Call of Duty's they are doing away with the Larger, long distance maps because they have too "complicated Lines of Sight" for most players? I don't know that's what I thought I read the Community manager stating.Last edited by Feared; 11-21-2012, 11:14 PM.Minnesota Vikings

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
Online was just brutal tonight. It kept migrating hosts every 2 minutes. Then sometimes the room would be full but yet it would say need more players. And to top it all off, winning the game, the server boots everybody saying an update. I say cool, they take me back to the main screen, no freaking update, nothing downloads. It was just terrible and brutal tonight, don't know what they were doing with the servers but it totally made the game unplayable with all that host migrating for NO REASON. Nobody left the room, everybody full green bars.Comment
