It makes the game not fun. Have you ever played in a lobby with all Quickscopers? It's brutally painful. They all congregate to one place on the map and run in circles trying to shoot each other. So lame.
Quickscoping actually takes a lot of practice. It isn't something you can just immediately get down. I have no idea what you are talking about all the people congregating. Some people do that when they trickshot, which is quite annoying although I do enjoy the trickshotters on youtube.

Before there were game modes like Infection and Gun Game, people entertained themselves by playing their own games like Border Patrol, Michael Myers, and by Quickscoping. Being younger, I know for a fact that some kids do this because they only play Call of Duty and they need a way to change things up.

No offense to you Reds, but you are a good example. I understand your hate against campers, but grenade launchers ruined some of my days on Modern Warfare 2. I don't understand why people would complain about quickscoping when there have been worse things like grenade launchers. I play Call of Duty with a run and gun approach, but still manage to maintain a high K/D. My strategy is to control the outside edges of the map, rarely navigating to the middle.

I have been playing online since Call of Duty 4. My biggest issue is when someone calls me a "tryhard". I just don't understand.. aren't you suppose to play to win?

Same reason I attach grenade launchers to at least one of my classes. It's good for flushing people out. That reason is also why I usually went with nova gas in BO.

When should we be expecting Black Ops 2 to start selling on Ebay, besides Flight's copies? LOL

They are all over the place on ebay however they are going at high amounts of $$$$$$.

Also to add to the Quick Scoping discussion I too hate it. I loved the way they did it in Black Ops 1 where the aim was slightly off center when you aimed down sniper rifles. The problem was there weren't really any sniper friendly maps in the game at launch so it made using the sniper pretty pointless.

In Modern Failware 3 my friend and I ended up getting killed with it so much that we went straight into a private game and spent about 2-3 hours figuring out our Quick scoping class. I even went up to a 10 sensitivity while my friend went to a 9. Thats all it took for us to get really effective at doing it.

A tryhard is someone who only cares about their K/D. Basically, people that only camp and navigate the edge of the map/don't play objectives and sit on the outside and pick people off because they don't want to die.

Which judging by your statements, you would fall in that category. If you are good or use strategy when playing different game types, you wouldn't have to be conscience of avoiding the middle of the map. In fact my KD in domination in MW3 was over 3 and my main focus is capping flags. The reason I play objective games in the first place.

Quickscoping takes no skill. It takes like 2 hours to sit down and learn the timing, and that is it. Had never QSed before MW3 and took me literally an hour in a custom game to start doing it.

Noob tubing is definitely not the issue in MW. Is it annoying sometimes, yeah. But it's not as annoying as a lobby full of QSers or how it is abused. Given, it is easy to avoid one on one. Just drop shot them. However, the quality of the game suffers and when a whole team is doing it, its extremely frustrating.

The only game modes I play are Team Deathmatch and Search and Destroy unless I am playing Gamebattles. There is not much objective play in public matches. If you do not have a full party, you are sadly not going to receive much communication in Search and Destroy or any other objective game mode. I believe that calling someone a "tryhard" is just a way of talking smack when you are getting your *** whipped.

I guarantee you may learn how to quickscope in a short amount of time, but your half scope and shot will not be perfected. Watch a competitive sniping match and see what I mean.

I said grenade launchers were an issue in Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare / Modern Warfare 3 they are not an issue. I was just using it as an example as a peeve in the gaming community of Call of Duty.

Working the edge of the map in any competitive objective play if executed correctly is the example of the term "slayer", not a "tryhard". Since your specialty is capturing flags, you would probably consider yourself an "objective" player. Games like Call of Duty and Halo have positions like a team on the court or field.

I actually don't mind campers, because generally speaking, they are easier to kill, because they stay in one area.
I understand the hate for grenade launchers in MW2, because with OMA & Danger Close, it was ridiculously overpowered.
However, if someone is going to camp in one spot, they shouldn't be mad when they get tubed. That is what the attachment is for, to flush people out/kill guys standing in one spot.

I don't like it when people non-stop use the launcher, especially when it is from like 5 feet away.

But you don't play objective games, so working the outside of the map in TDM would be considered a "tryhard".

However, I have never called anyone that myself, because frankly, I never get my *** whipped.

I actually play Kill Confirmed the most. Second would be Dom and then HQ or Demolition. At one time I was in the Top 1000 in the leaderboards on PS3 I played KC so much, but I no longer have a PS3 and the patches kept making the game worse so I stopped playing.

I know that it's a videogame and not a representation of real life, but I thought the intent of making these classes and types of weapons were to replicate the actions of real life firearms. That quickscoping crap is cheesy and lame. Anyone can do it. I can live by dying from a noob tube, because at least he had to aim and fire in my direction. QSing is just abusing the aim assist and spamming the trigger. Stupid.

I think Black Ops 2 just sold me by allowing Search and Destroy to be played with Bots. I will be trading in for this next week.
