I got so used to the Battlefield 3 dedicated servers. With the exception of the first day of release, I've never had any sort of problems at all..

Basically players with high speed internet or download speeds are nerfed, and slower speed internet players are given a boost. So basically any internet speed advantage is eliminated.

I'm no networking guru, but Call of Duty Multiplayer matches are based on a Host system, all the match information is based on the Host player. Pretty much the CoD servers pick a player in the lobby who has the best central location, connection to support the other players. All the match information is then being broadcast from that player. Player movement where someone is on the map, shot registration, who shoots what, where, and when.

So your connection will all depend on how well you can connect to that "Host" player, how quickly you can receive the Packets of game information and the quality you will receive them in.

I believe lag compensation is a Game mechanic that purposely adjusts, and alters how those packets are sent. Maybe slowing down the rate at which a player with a great connection receives packets, if they are in a lobby with players whose connections are far inferior.

Could be off but I believe it goes something like that.

I was in a game with kmk the other night and the whole game was laggy and everyone in the server was sucking ***. Then you check the leaderboards and theres a guy that's 27-10.. pretty easy to spot the host lol.

This. This is what creates all these wtf moments. Shoot a guy in the back and he turns and kills you. Watch his kill cam and HE never got shot. He probably even seen you first on his screen.

I have played about 20 games and have had 2 problems and they only lasted for a few seconds, so maybe I have been lucky so far. My biggest problem is trying to knife people, it's horrible. It's like when I try nothing happens and then I get killed. I had the same problem in the first Black Ops. Now in Modern Warfare 2 or 3 I thought knifing people were easy, but for some reason in the Black Ops games I have trouble.

Would really like to know what this patch was suppose to fix. First attempt to play after downloading the patch and it freezes before the damn map voting is done. This is really pissing me off. This is the only game that does any type freezing at all and it is not like me PS3 is old. So much for my hopes of a quick fix.

I feel like the guns and maps are pretty well balanced.

What are your guys' favorite sight to equip for an AR?

Iron, silencer, double mag. If not a silencer use quick draw or gangsta grip

I think the phrase "different strokes for different folks" applies.

I don't have to seek out a reason not to like the game. If that's all I was trying to do with it, I wouldn't have spent $60 on the game.

I just get tired of the results of gun battles being dictacted by the server stability. I like to know the game is fair for everyone and not have to ponder about wether or not I'm getting out gunned or the game just ****ed me over.

Again, I've had some better luck with servers over the past day or so, but I do sympathize with those who still have issues.

Why would people spend their hard earned $60 just so they could come on OS and say they hate it?
