Hm, i remember when i first started gaming on the ps2, battling it out in pub rooms on socom. Nearly everyone had mics. If you didnt have a mic cats would vote you out of rooms.

When did people stop using mics? I love me some fps's but i refuse to play unless my boys are on because theres no communication.

Even though i have a good k/d ratio i wish games would eliminate k/d and just show spm and w/l to hopefully increase the amount teams play together.

We usually have a full team for kill confirmed but last night we had two open spots and these two kids playing split screen accumulated for 6-42

At the least it'd be cool for the game to put you with people who had mics.

Got my first gold gun tonight. One thing I learned is that perks for me are WAY more important than attachments. Getting the Camo that you can use attachments but no perks sucked. I used three attachments but blech.

The one where you can't use any attachments was easy.

Depends on the gun imo. The iron sights on an assault rifle aren't a problem for me to use, but when I got gold on the MSMC it was kinda hard b/c I hate the iron sights on the SMG's. Also, since you need 150 kills with no perks and attachments, I'd suggest going to hardcore, since you will get those a lot faster imo.

It was the MSMC, and I do much better on Iron Sights for some reason.

Can you just run no perks / attachments and get both after 150?

Yes, that is what I did, it saved quite a bit of time.

I never use my mic when I'm not with friends because I don't feel like listening to the less than savory people that usually are on the mic. I'll put my headset on and go in a party by myself to avoid it.

I love the MSMC it is an awesome gun.
The M8A1 4 round burst is also extremely good, especially with select fire as an attachment.

I don't use mine. I get sick of hearing people arguing and acting like they are the best when they actually suck, or little kids acting like idiots. It's bad enough I can still hear them over my speakers. I usually end up muting everybody with a mic. Oh yeah one more, the rap music, I get really sick of listening to that, and it's always rap that I hear, I have never heard any other kind of music.

I think a lot of it is just that this game doesn't really emphasize teamwork like Socom did, thus making mics optional. I hardly ever use mine due to the reasons already expressed.

Same here. I only use the mic if i'm playing with guys from work. I mean, if you want to listen to a bunch of kids and idiots acting like tools, be my guest. Myself, I prefer to enjoy the game.

looks like i wont hit prestige for a while, level 30 some thing but i started quickscoping so i'm going to be playing combat training only until i get good at it.did they change the quickscoping, half way zoomed in and i get the aim like a no scope? didnt you use to be able to half zoom and quickscope but now it feels like it takes a little longer.
