And right after I get them I go to local to play them and it says something is corrupt and reset me back over 3 hours. I'm done with this ****. Going to trade my copy in tomorrow most likely and pick up the Mass Effect Trilogy or NBA 2k13.

Ouch that's bad luck. Nothing Is more frustrating in video games. I'm thinking about doing the same with my copy.

There is a known glitch that if you go in and play local, then back to multiplayer it will glitch out.
I read this over at the Activision forums, from what I've gathered that if you contact them,it can be corrected.

Not sure if you want to go through the hassle though, but just wanted to let you know that it is a known issue.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

Here is an excerpt from the Activision forums...

            Just throwing this out there:

I am seeing what seems to be a growing problem about people losing their stats after going from offline play to online play. Although some of you are getting hosed, I am seriously wondering:

Is it possible that 3ARC has plugged a hole? In BO1 there were a few exploits that allowed a player to port offline perks to MP. I wonder if, by chance, 3ARC has fixed this, thus buggering anyone trying to find exploits (and screwing over people who are doing it without knowing it)...

Just a thought, and just wondering. I could be way out in left field here...

Today I was playing online Black OPS 2 ( lvl 46 no prestige), I unlocked the Skoprpion EVO and played on local mode to see and test the Skorpion EVO attachments. When i went back to the online mode my rank and stats was reset ( lvl 1 no prestige ).
I promise i never did any glitch, boosting or hacking and i did get reset for no reason!

Cutpurse (who does work for Treyarch) has stated several times on these forums that affected players should PM him their info & he will work to have the rank restored. Records do exist on their end, even if the file was corrupted on yours.

That said, unless you lost multiple prestiges you'll probably be able to earn the ranks back in the time it will take them to receive your message, investigate it, and restore the stats.

The issue all seems tied to playing local, then going back to online again.
This also brings me to remember something that happened to me the other night.
I had accepted a friends request from (who I thought was somebody else) this dude....who then invited me to join a game,so I thought "why not"...upon joining his lobby,I found out he was a kid who asked If I wanted to boost in local going against bots.....of course I said no,and promptly deleted him.

So maybe (like the other guy said in my quote) this is Activision's way of weeding out the cheaters? I don't know....but playing local and going back to multiplayer seems to be the common theme in all of this.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

Thanks, but this kind of issue is awful. I understand them wanting to get rid of cheaters, but when you mess with people that aren't cheaters with a "countermeasure" against cheaters it is just terrible. I'm actually going to sell my copy on CL instead of trading it back in since I will get about 40-45 bucks for it. Not too bad for a 2 month rental.

Thinking about trading this in, as I haven't touched it in a while (good month probably) but I know as soon as I do, I will want an online shooter. Hmm...

Trade it in for COD4, MW2 and MW3. You now have 3 multiplayer shooters for the sacrifice of one

                    COD4 $9.99
                    http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/gam...-warfare/65504

                    MW2 $14.99 XBOX $9.99 PS3
                    http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/gam...arfare-2/74392

                    MW3 $19.99
                    http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/gam...arfare-3/91051

Black Ops holding value at $29.99

Sell your copy for $40 or $45 dollars and you can get 3 of these titles. Plenty of people still play all of these games.

For those that are still playing the game (me...) some changes are a coming.

Still at work doing that final grind on the next update. It's a big one. Nerfs. Buffs. Bug fixes. Features. Dinosaurs. Details to come.

Hopefully they nerf the shotgun and some pistols.

Of course, nerfing the shotgun would take the fun out of killing the shotgunner, picking up said shotgun and killing him with it.

The Pistols are overpowered. I won a game of FFA before with just the three round burst pistol and a silencer with scavenger.

My bad Cowher I wanted to get a late gaming session in last night but I was freaking exhausted. I had only played like 3 games when you hit me up. I blame it on taking my daughter to Disney on ice lol that wore me out!
