Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

I just beat the single player campaign and I must say that it was pretty good. COD usually always has good single player stories and that continued with this game as well. I hope the multiplayer is ok, from what I have read in this thread I don't know. I guess we will see...

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

I swear I just posted this.. I apparently never hit post.

Here's my two main player cards.

The first, I had help on:

The second one, I was sitting here waiting for a few people to get on whenever I got the game and just threw it together. It's my favorite:

I think after today I'm with you cowher. I'm shelving this for a good while. I try to overlook all the BS but it's just becoming to much and that's when the game game isn't fun for me anymore. Since I got my PS3 in august I haven't played any of the great exclusives besides heavy rain so I picked up the first two uncharted games and the god of war saga. So basically I won't be back to black ops until I finish these games if I do even come back to play it.

That's the bad part really....I can see the potential, and there are some things I enjoy...the pick 10 weapon setup is really cool, but when it comes down to the actual gameplay,I really feel this title is lacking.

Like you,I have tried over and over to ignore the BS,but there's only so much I can stand. Also like you, when the game begins not to be fun anymore,I know it's then time to either quit,or take an extended break.

When you CAN get into a room to where everything feels good (no BS deaths) the game really is fun,but those are far and few between....for the most part, getting shot when I'm behind cover (or so it seems) is something I can't deal with anymore, add in the overpowered garbage, and well yea....you get the idea...lol

I'm with you on this it's just there is so much garbage going on it becomes a headache. My 3 fave COD games are COD 3, COD 4 & WAW they felt more grounded and you could focus more. I find the speed of the game is just way to fast now like there on ice skates plus the future setting doesn't appeal to me. I still play but my interest in shooters overall has diminished the last few years. Most fun I've ever had with online shooters was with Resistance 1, COD 3, COD4 & WAW. Seems the fun factor is gone now.

I might have to go way back and try an older cod to get some fun. I started with MW2 so maybe the games before that will provide some fun instead of feeling like a chore to play.

Only thing is now most of them are hacked like World At War wish they would have fixed it with a patch as I loved the game. My first shooter I ever played was duck hunt on the nes. Just kidding around my first was Medal Of Honor on the PS1. It's what got the war shooters started on consoles with Saving Private Ryan being the inspiration.

not sure how MW3 was as I didn't read to much into that game, but if I recall correctly, it's only $19.99 used at Gamestop.

                    **Just checked**
                    yep,it's $20.00 used at Gamestop.

I might start watching some vids on that one,and if it's worth it,might check it out.

I was really into this game until the last week or 2. I swear something has happened differently. Before I could have 1 PS3 streaming netflix, my son on the PC watching you tube, and still be able to get 3 bars in games from my bedroom PS3. Now I'm lucky to get one bar while my son plays minecraft on the PC. As long as theres no traffic on my network I'm good. But that is an extremly rare occasion.

The last really good Call of Duty game was Black Ops. I really enjoyed MW2 and Call of Duty 4. I picked them up for PS3 last fall and had no issues with any game except World at War.

How does it compare to BLOPS2? as far as lag,and well pretty much all the BS that is in BLOPS2....hit detection, weapon balance, are shotguns, ballistic knives and pistols crazy OP?

Because if so,I may as well not bother with that title either.

MW3 still has the Lag compensation where it sometimes punishes the host, or players with better connection but I don't think it's as bad as Black Ops II, and overall I found a smoother connection.

I think the Weapon Balance is fairly solid, you can roll with the Assaults, SMG's, or even a Shotgun (with the right perk set ups) and do reasonably well. There's nothing too overpowered, I guess the ACR 6.8 and the MP7 are really overused, but they are more overused than overpowered.

There are no Ballistic Knives but the Knifing does have more range in IW cods than Treyarch's from what I've experienced, Pistols are pretty weak nothing like in Bops II. There are Machine Pistol secondaries though, which can get pretty annoying when Akimbo'd but I believe they nerfed those.

The original maps are fairly tight, but they added some DLC maps that are more open and have longer lines of sight i.e sniping. I think Black Box, and Gulch are a few.

I don't know for whatever reasons I just prefer the IW Cods over Treyarch's.. something about the design. If you liked the original MW2 you might like MW3 better than Black Ops II.

That pretty much sums it up. I always felt like there was less BS while playing MW3.
