Im off on Friday if you want to get together on the beta Trob. I havent played any of the GW series, so will be brand new to all the concepts.

There is so much in this game that I consider to be revolutionary to MMO's. This has WoW-killer written all over it.

I'll be on the Yak's Bend "world". I don't know what name will be yet, but that's the server I'll be on.

You pre-purchased right? If so keep checking, I'm sure they are staggering them. You should still be able to download the client from that link I posted. Once it's downloaded and updated, you can try to log in and it will give you a message on whether or not your account is good to go. Also make sure it's not going into your spam folder.

Was reading the blog post and it says you'll still be able to play with friends on different servers after launch, as long as they are on your friends list. You just won't be able to do World vs World pvp with them. Here it is.

When Guild Wars 2 launches, you will also have the option to play with your friends on another world with our free “guesting” feature. With guesting, your characters can play on any world where you have friends—with certain restrictions. For instance, you will not be able to participate in WvW while guesting.

I didn't play Guild Wars so maybe thats why I dont like it and don't see the big anticipation/enjoyment/aura surrounding it. Thats just me though, I tried it a few times for 30-45 minutes and just found it boring to me.

I didn't play the original either. Think I'm going to try and make it to GameStop tomorrow and see if I can "pre-order" the game for $5 and try it out.
