I read about this happening after the game was released and it made sense why the finished product was nothing like what was previewed. I'm personally done with the FPS modern war genre. I will buy Arma 3 but that's it. I'm mentally starving for a tactical shooter that makes me think and tension can be had from my character being a fragile human. I'm tired of running around being a bullet sponge that can replenish health. What happened to the Ghost Recon days where when you got shot....you died or you dealt with the rest of the mission hurting with a bullet in you. This was a chance for EA to recapture a genre that lost its way but instead I'm stuck with a game that's entire community has almost completely abandoned in under 6 months. -

EA: Medal Of Honor’s Not Dead, Just Sleeping
Refreshingly, Hilleman admitted that EA was fully at fault for Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s rather dismal performances.
“We don’t think its a genre problem,” he said during a brief interview at last week’s DICE conference. “It’s an execution problem. We don’t think Medal of Honor’s performance speaks to any particular bias in that space against modern settings or World War II or any of that. It’s much more that we had some things we should’ve done better.”
“What we think right now is that, for the next couple years, we can just have one great thing in that space. So we’re choosing for it to be Battlefield.”“I think a key part of this is having the right amount of high-quality production talent,” he explained. “And we didn’t have the quality of leadership we needed to make [Medal of Honor] great. We just have to get the leadership aligned. We’re blessed to have more titles than we can do well today. That’s a good problem, frankly. In the long term, we have to make sure we don’t kill those products by trying to do them when we can’t do them well.”
So for now, EA plans to watch and wait. Medal of Honor’s return, somewhat unsurprisingly, is a matter of when, not if. And while Hilleman implied it’d probably happen sooner rather than later, he provided an example that, um, didn’t quite instill confidence.
“There’s always someone at EA who’s sticking up for any number of the properties we have,” he concluded. “You know, I had somebody the other day say, ‘Come on, Mutant League Football. We gotta bring back Mutant League Football.’ So, to my mind, there’s always somebody at EA who loves a property. That property will come back when it’s time is right and there’s someone to carry it.”Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

More excuses......didn't have the right leadership ? Yeah right, they had the right leadership, EA simply didn't allow them to do their job. They had good writers and good producers. It is EA fault that they chose to make Warfighter more Hollywood, instead of keeping it like Medal of Honor was.
I expect they will release another one 3 or 4 years from now. I just hope they go back to how Socom use to be and leave that over the top Hollywood BS alone.Comment

I want them to go back to their WWII roots. We already have enough modern and future settings at the moment the time is ripe for WWII to make a return. The first MOH on the PS1 was what got me into fps's. They could also do hd versions of all their past MOH titles set in WWII as a tie-in."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Forget that, I a NEW LOCATION. Tired of fighting in the middle east and europe. And I don't want to drive a damn thing either. No jeep, no boat, nothing. Give me a setting in the jungle some where with either some smart AI teammates or give me the ability to tell my teammates where the hell to go.
Make stealth a priority. That is the one thing I loved about the original Socom, Operation Flashpoint and Tom Clancy games. Stealth was a priority. If you were spotted, all hell broke loose. Nowadays it is all bout Hollywood big action Rambo mode type of game play of just kill everybody.Comment
