Re: Assassin's Creed III
I like the game. Sure it might be a tad bit too opened world for most who isn't into the whole building up your base type of thing. But to me that is one of the things in the series I always loved, Building up and restoring your main house, building up the guild and surrounding areas, getting money pouring into HQ.
Naval battles are fun, hunting various animals is fun. Setting up trade routes and all that, love it. I like the whole setting up, improving and then expanding your secret empire aspect of the series. Love seeing historical figures when they were younger and what they were like.
As it stands now, I give this game a 9. I have freedom to do what ever the hell I want to do and how I want to do it.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed III
Seems I really need to earn money, they don't just randomly give it to you for completing story missions.
Nor they should. Which is one thing I love about this game. You have to earn your money and think of it as a real life situation of what can I sell to bring in money. Set up trade routes and all that. Just got to get your grind on.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed III
I'm only in Seq. 4 or 5 I believe. Where you are being trained by the old man. Am I going to be able to still do all the side missions that were available to me even in the beginning of the game? Franklins Almanac, etc? Even when the main missions end? I don't want to miss anything.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed III
I was in the same boat. Never played any of the series before, but went to pick it up and was talking to a guy about it. Said I should get at least I & II for the story line. Others not so much, just "filler" he said. Picked up both used the day I got III. Just finished first one last night and I would have to say that you should play through the first one for the story line.Make #FranchiseNation great again!
This thing called Twitter I do sometimes
What's your thoughts? It's a game.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
Seems like it might be a glitch, I read through that section of the guide, and there is no mention of needing to come back to it later.Moderator

Re: Assassin's Creed III
Funny to see the differing views... I couldn't even make it through the last games, but this title has me completely engulfed. The graphics, the fludity of the parkour and fighting, the time setting... IMO it's all amazingly done. Everything about this game completely pulls me in, in near RDR fashion.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Re: Assassin's Creed III
Brotherhood will teach you the ins and outs of recruiting, building up your assassins and sending them out on missions.
Revelations will show you how and why you start out the way you start out in Assassin's Creed 3.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed III
I'm 6-7 hours in and I like the game so far but there are a lot of minor problems. I have triggered the succesful end to a mission without killing anyone twice and cut scenes drop me off far away from where I was when the cut scene started. I must not have taken the path they had planned for so they put me back where they want but it's still jarring.
The extra activities still seem half baked to me and they make we want to stick to the story. Some slow parts feel like too much of a grind.Comment
