Have to get used to the guns and the reloading in this game...lol Some of the enemies have some of the worse gun aim ever..lol Got to get used to this time frame compared to previous games. Takes some getting used to.

To my disappointment, I just can't get into this game. Luved previous iterations but no longer have the patience nor willingness to deal with stupid AI.( I can't get into this time neither. Dunno.

The Tyranny of King Washington: The Betryal comes out tomorrow for those of you who are still playing this. I believe you can use the power of Eagle in this episode.
Somebody was able to get the PC version early and posted gameplay of it on Youtube.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
My god, the controls stink in this game. Started playing recently and they drive me freaking nuts. Unresponsive and clunky. Takes away from what is otherwise nice game to look at.
Few questions.
1. When do side quests become available?
2. Can you buy/unlock maps to show locations for hidden items?
3. Does the story pick up at all? On sequence 3 at the moment.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed III
The game has a TON to do if you look for it. The problem is that all of the side quests don't pop up all over the map and display like it did in previous games. Hell I spent 15 hours just on convoys and crafting on my homestead. Between the main game and DLC, I spent 90 hours in this game and found mountains of things to do."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

Re: Assassin's Creed III
Thinking about picking this up for $15 as part of the Xbox Live Ultimate Sale. Just worried I won't have any time to actually play it. Never played an AC game before, but the historical aspect of it is really interesting to me.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed III
You should play Assassin's Creed II first. I liked 3 but there are definitely some issues with it. II is the best one by far and you can find it pretty cheap.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed III
I've got a bunch of Microsoft points that I'll probably never use since I stopped playing (and downloading songs for) Rock Band. I spent some of them on AC3 last night, but didn't have a chance to play it after it finished downloading. Hopefully, I will sometime this weekend.Comment

Man I want to play black flag but I just don't have the desire to play 3 again. I'm to the point when you basically first get the ship.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Assassin's Creed III
I started playing this after having it for awhile. I'm really enjoying the storyline so far and the "prologue" was glorious if a bit of a slow-climb. I haven't had any problems with controls (free-running in the trees is amazing) that I haven't run into earlier in the series.
I am kind of wanting to just be set loose and explore. When does the story open up to allow for exploration and all the side-quests/missions? I'm currently in sequence 5.

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <woNotOptimizeForBrowser/> </w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]--> I have to say I am really, really enjoying this game. The frontier is beautiful and running through the trees, hopping from one branch to another, moving from point to point without hitting the forest floor is a great gameplay feeling. The combat is pretty simple and easy (seems easier than I remember AC2 being, but I haven’t revisited that since release and completion), but it is pretty damn punishing and badass. Hunting both animals and redcoats perched on an over-hanging branch is great especially when the beautiful setting combines with the brutal take-down cinematic. Taking down bear by the light of a full moon is pretty damn epic.
As much as I am actually enjoying the naval missions and look forward to their continued development in Black Flag I can’t help but think that this part of the game is completely outside of Connor’s character.
I really hate the fact I took so long to finally play this, but I am having a great time with this. Connor reminds me a bit of Altair since both were the “silent” type compared to Ezio’s flash, but I feel more connected to Connor through the gameplay and getter a better sense of his character that way than through the story thus far.
AC Series question:
I was in the gamestore and was checking out Revelations and see you play Altair and Ezio. How much of the game do you play as Altair? How is the game overall?

Revelations had about 5 flashback missions when you found each Niccolo Polo key for Altair's library in Acre. Then you would play as Altair and were able to finish his story."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush
