Re: RDR or Uncharted
My favorite games of all time. That's a real tough choice. Bang for your buck though is definitely RDR, as you can easily get 60 hrs out of that title.Comment

Re: RDR or Uncharted
I bought, loved, and played through all three multiple times because of the story AND the gameplay. Some of the best third person cover shooting on the market IMO.Last edited by DickDalewood; 05-04-2012, 03:11 PM.Comment

Re: RDR or Uncharted
One's getting shot in the foot and the other is a punch in the mouth. I suggest getting something good instead but if it's really between those...
Well RDR might be less of a total mess now,go with that I guess. Doesn't change the incredibly poor character but at least there's fun stuff to do as long as you're not getting stuck in bulidings/rocks/railroad tracks/whatever or running into donkey ladies and birdmen or getting a game over because you tried to loot a body in the water but the horse fell in too and you tried to get it back but Marston can't even swim in a puddle so somehow equals game over.
This reminds me I never tried Undead Nightmare.Comment

Re: RDR or Uncharted
If there is one thing you should definitely take from this thread, it's don't ever, EVER, listen to Goh's opinion about what game's to buy.
It's one of the constant's in life... like, the sun rising, or Dairy Queen making Blizzards.Comment

Re: RDR or Uncharted
I thought RDR was terrible and overhyped. I played through it once and it was a drag.
I've played through each of the Uncharted series multiple times and the story and graphics are still great.Go Yankees

Re: RDR or Uncharted
Red Dead Redemption.
I like the Uncharted games. They're beautiful games and the exploring, climbing, etc. is fun, but it's also a little repetitive. The story itself is awesome and would make a great movie, which is what you feel like you're playing.
Red Dead also has a great story behind it and an unreal amount of stuff to do, to keep you busy. I could find more replay value out of it, than all three Uncharter games combined.
To summarize: They're both exceptional games, but I've always loved Rockstar's sand-box style games and I would choose Red Dead over UC.
Almost four years here, and I still haven't seen the guy say anything positive about a game.Comment

Re: RDR or Uncharted
Both are top titles but if you are looking for more replayability go with RDR. Also, both have good online modes, but if you want the freedom both on and offline, still, go with RDR.Comment

Re: RDR or Uncharted
This, exactly. Uncharted is my favorite series of all time, with Red Dead being an immediate second... maybe even 1a and 1b. That said though, if you have to have just one, Red Dead for sure with the amount of hours and replayability you'll get out of it... especially if you get the GOTY edition with Undead Nightmare.Last edited by DickDalewood; 05-05-2012, 09:23 AM.Comment

...but of course stuff like that is clearly worthy of game of the year awards instead.Comment

With that said, both are quality titles, so it really just depends on what you're in the mood for... A sandbox game or a linear game.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
